Yeah, I'm hoping for a stronger season next time, this one there hasn't been much I want to check out. I do want to watch ID: Invaded, Magia Record, and Somali and the Forest Spirit. Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun and In/Spectre are ones I'll check out someday but not a huge priority for me.

I am glad winter anime is garbage. Makes me focus on Ahiro no sora and Haikyuu only. My mood is sports anime currently

I hear it's one chapter per ep now which makes it seem slow as fuck and people were begging Toei to just make a filler arc :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_loudly_crying:

I don't watch the anime, just specific episodes for fights, new characters etc. The manga is perfect. Wano has been incredible

I agree that it's awful the vast majority of the time, but it would be closed-minded to completely avoid it.

Trigger does it well. As does ufotable.

It looks like shit. People who want to watch anime don't want to look at fucking video game graphics. It needs a bullet in the head already.

Land of the Lustrous, and this "shit" looks better than at least 80% of the anime of this decade. Only Kyoto Animation, ufoTable, and a few others can make animation look this incredible, and in terms of cinematography barely anything comes close at least in terms of TV anime.

Brap, I mostly agree with you, and usually groan when I see something is heavily CG, but I know the potential.

If done right, CG can be integrated with 2D fantastically to create something greater than what just one of the two could do.

I see plenty of CGI in modern anime and it's usually in action scenes where you barely notice it. When the entire thing is CGI it just looks like a video game cutscene.

No it doesn't. Looks like a PS3 game with bright colors, lots of AA and "pretty" effects.

You aren't going to get CGI "anime" with good production values, because the reason it is CGI in the first place is because they can't afford good production values.

Any recommendation for an anime that has the same visual quality as Zankyou No Terror? It was released in 2014 and still has better animation and visuals than a majority of stuff released after it. Sadly the story was a bit of a letdown.

Yes and even the Berserk movies were very well made in CGI but again, how many are the proper CGI animes? Not much. I don’t mind a bit of CGI like AoT and Vinland. They did it very well

Its not about “we hate CGI” its really about the cheap CGI which is the majority of anime
