However, I have just looked for, for curiosity's sake, the term "11.6tf" or even "11.6" and I have found nothing relevant before December 2019.

Can you please provide a post of somebody talking about a 11.6tf PS5 before 22/03/2019 when Foxy Games uploaded the 11.6tf PS5 youtube video ?

To be fair, after somebody mentioned him here I looked him up. Over the last year his numbers have been all over the place depending on the rumour of the day, from low all the way to 13.3. He’s hardly stuck with a single number.

Black. Previous DK ran hot with thermal peaks that were not intended, as I’ve mentioned. As far as I know, there I’ve only been two types of DK, silver and a final black one, both pretty much the same design though. But as I also said previously, the latest DK had a few issues at 11.6 still and there was a possibility of a slight downclock to keep temps in check (this was the one people reported being too loud still), which is why I don’t see them pushing higher unless they fix other areas, which at this stage in the game I just can’t see?

(All this is old info I’ve posted before Btw, I’m not posting anything new).

As for which it was, I cant put a number on it. I’ve heard at least 3 kits being in the wild and this was the last one (up to date like two weeks back), but as for the having an actual number? I couldn’t say, and haven’t been told.

I mentioned it a week ago or so but I am surprised these black ones have not leaked yet.

While I haven’t heard of the silver ones crashing it also doesn’t shock me as these things did indeed run super hot and sound like a hair dryer trying to stay cool.

The black ones seem to be nearing a final form factor close to a retail product.

So it could be possible that a different black DK (which I assumed was a final DK form) is the same size as the old, and thus continues the older “issues”, but possibly if you’re saying larger that would explain why they are also cooler. Makes sense to me. Also heard nothing new, at all, about speeds. Interesting............ When did you hear this info?

Have you watched the video? He himself is talking about leaks and he mentioned that in the video. GAF or Reddit or wherever he read it from. Uploading a YouTube video and pretending to be an insider doesn’t make you one.

Silver was certainly not 11.6 in a few cases I’ve talked about, thats sure. I’m not so sure this new one is over 11.6 either, just going to throw my cards on the table. I’m confident in that, as are a couple of people with them in hand. I’ll throw a few messages out there and see.

What does matter to me is when information conflicts I want to know WHY. If he’s got info on a new DK, that’s fine... but I want to know why change of spec, why it’s suddenly quiet, and why it’s now larger on height (when the older DK was already a controller high).

I would rather we narrow stuff down, than make more conflicts. I couldn’t care who is right, or faster. But I have a personal stake in this with my own info, so if my own info from a first party source doesn’t check out I want to know what the deal is.

I like and share the excitement, but the Series X isn't anything to scoff at. It's a beast, like the PS5, and only good things will come for both consoles because of it.
