Had a nervous breakdown today ans terrible panic attack last night.
Between the frustration that neither me or my father are getting any stimulus, lack of food at grocery stores and the whole situation I broke down. The worst is my dog seems to be getting worse and she's been making horrible messes that I'm having to clean constantly.
Last night I had some kind of panic attack. I felt very faint and literally like I was going to die. I haven't had one quite that bad before (I had in the past worse but that was from smoking weed which I don't do anymore)
I have tremors now because to add insult to injury, our Rug Doctor is leaking.
I'm seriously on the verge on a meltdown over everything.
Seriously screw the govt for not helping people who really need the money because they didn't file. I don't even really have an income so I don't and my dad is on fucking small amount of retirement and disability.

This thing is massively contagious, and whilst the vast majority will be absolutely fine, the small percentage that will be hit hard is still a huge number, and it WILL overwhelm hospitals quickly. That means anyone in critical condition for non-covid reasons also becomes at further risk.
It’s the speed of contagion that is the main death threat.

For Spain, the numbers I found through 3/26:

10-19: 1 (0.1% of total deaths)
20-29: 4 (0.3%)
30-39: 7 (0.5%)
40-49: 19 (1.4%)
50-59: 35 (2.6%)
60-69: 119 (8.7%)
70-79: 319 (23.3%)

90+: 255 (18.7%)
Total: 1367 (The current data for today says 5690 deaths so this data is relatively old).
So basically Spain from.. roughly a week ago, looked very much like Italy, though a few more young deaths, whereas Italy had none for a long while.
I am guessing the older patients are dying faster once they get COVID-19 and the younger people are sticking around longer. My guess is we'll see this trend younger and younger as more time passes, especially with the health care systems getting overloaded. I would guess patients in their 20's and 30's will probably end up mostly fine, but 40's and 50's are going to be higher risk.
Spain recorded close to or over 8000 new cases the past 4 days. Spain's population is something like 46M and Italy is 60M. Wtf is going on in Spain (he ask's, again).

Also, now USA has more than 120000+ reported cases. More than 22 states have or would have more than 1000+ cases by the end of this weekend. Trump is right to quarantine NY, but it should be enforced faster and broader. More importantly, it should only be announced to public after executed the quarantine.
And even the states with lowest confirmed number would be over 100+ cases per state by the end of weekend. Imagine people in other states flee to hometown before quarantine is enforced.
But if there has to be a quarantine they should give people a few days to get ready for it .

Switzerland has a huge expat community so that automatically = lots of travel. It's also a business hub so I'm not surprised at their numbers. I have no idea what their average age is like but that is what will most likely determine how bad the deaths get since their healthcare standards are known for being very high.
Edit: holy shit I just saw their average cases/million population. That's... not good.

Switzerland were clever enough to issue passes to the Italian workers that cross the border everyday, 60000 Italians work in Switzerland.

To be fair to Switzerland they wont have seen it coming until it was too late. They also have a ton of people who commute in from the far edges of Germany and France on a daily basis as well so they will literally have been getting fucked from all directions.

Dude, relax. Something like 8000 americans die each day already, this covid thing is barely a drop in the bucket at this point. And most of the covid deaths so far are folks with an increased death risk already.

We know China has sent out defective tests and the CDC made defective tests, how many countries are getting bad results in their rush and panic? And we don't know when people got it so every "new" case itsn't really new, and we don't know who had it already and passed it.

I saw an interview with the Italian singer that did that last week. All I thought was that if that happened here people would be yelling at him. Looks like that was accurate.

Because China did that draconian shit way too late, they tried to save their image before they saved their people and the people of the world, they let their people travel everywhere and opposed travel restrictions (now they've gone the opposite route and banned people coming into their country while trying to frame the virus as a foreign disease).

I do agree that the US needs to start taking more drastic measures. The spread in your country is insane and the containment so far has been way too slow and ineffective. I hope you get on top of it soon because it is spreading out of control.
