Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
Ok ok ok this is very "particular" but I actually like it. It's at the same time very new but with a ps4 vibe.

I'm new but if there's a little space for a new fella put me in captain.
Welcome aboard

Same tbh.

I actually dont care about the design that much. I'm a fan of minimalist design, i'd hate it if it had flashing RGB lights as would be distracting gameolay experience.

Headphones on and eyes glued to the screen. Its all about the games imo, max immersion.

When it comes to the design I'm really hoping for it to be console like. Those are the designs that I'm most fond of. If it turns out to be different I'll still buy it since the way it looks won't affect my enjoyment of the games.

Really all I care about is color scheme and efficient cooling. I'm easy to please when it comes to design, I will be happy with whatever

I just looked at the size of my Pro and my goodness if the PS5 is twice the size. Good God

I can't believe it will truly be twice as thick as a Pro

Does this apply for the Xbox Series X compute units ? If so does anyone have a source. I know Mark Cerny stressed that the PS5 GPU is a custom RDNA 2 and not just a PC part and could play a part in AMD future roadmap

I think yes but we only we are going to be sure of that until a third person make a teardown of boths consoles.
Just a couple of quick thoughts on the "Sega Series X" issue:

As I said, I think is a big paradigm shift for both companies, if that rebranding in Japan is true. But, I fail to see, unless it's something for future generations to come, how is going to actually make MS gain market share on an established manner. I mean, you're just waving off your brand, so for future hardware pieces you're actually competing against that very rebranding you made, because people might not associate MS with this Series X console.

And then again, I think they're focusing on the wrong market for such a brass and possibly costly action, taking into account that the home console market in Japan has been on a steady decline for years, and is now, more than ever, Nintendo territory. Hell, even Sony doesn't have a particularly big stronghold there anymore. So, in a sense, I feel like it would be an effort kind of wasted there, when they should be focusing much more in Europe, in my opinion.

But of course, just my thoughts, I could be completely off with this.
In my personal opinion is Microsoft is capable of do it will be good for them I mean they sold 200 consoles of Xbox in a good week in all Japan so if
this increment a little that number to cover money paid to Sega will be worth it.
" I mean that's great and all, but I'd be really disappointed if [new console] wasn't better than everything that came before it "

Is this guy a moron? Like thinking that PS5 and XSX could be less powerful than PS4 Pro and Xbox One X? Like seriously .....

He is not, remember the reaction of many devs when Xbox one and PS4 were announce and they saw those CPUs and again the HDD maybe is not worse
but is not much better.

"double the size of a Pro" imho it's absurd... I think we will see something similar in dimensions than the og ps3.

I think this rumor, if true, has to mean a more atypcial shape like the Series X. The X could also be said to be about twice as thick as the XBO, but it's also in a different tubular form factor.

The emptiness was filled in the initial part of the video. Not too odd there, but I understand the lack of filling it up overall.

I wonder if the outline represented here is a top view or side view of the actual console... I say this because the more I look at it, that outline, design wise, doesn't make sense. So I believe that shape represents something other than just a simple line. Round edges and motherboard stacked this way, seen in top view. What do you think?

Oh god, please don't.

I always thought that Madden is very american game, is it popular somewhere outside of US? So it's not a shock for me that US-related events being delayed considering current circumstances.
On the other hand PS5 event definitely has worldwide level of attention. Not sure if they want to delay their event further, because what if later in the summer events will be even worse? Also third-parties showing their games would be harmed too. Can't see it happening.

I can share a pic from a fan render that was fairly close to what I saw around the time the thermals were under controls.

I should edit in I would assume they would look something like this.

Have you heard anything about this? Redgamingtech has said multiple times he’s heard from sources the reason why Sony hadn’t shown the PS5 earlier was because the design was so innovative that they wanted to show the public a mass-produced unit, instead of a hand-assembled one, in order to prove to stockholders that it could in fact be mass produced.

I do not expect a regular box like the XsX I am about 75% expecting something "different" looking.

I hope that sort of answers your question ;)

I guess I worded that wrong good catch.

When they finally got them under control.
Interesting. So that was true, they had problems with thermals. I wonder how much power both consoles will suck. RDNA based PC with closest equivalent to PS5 GPU (r5700) with clocks of PS5 takes over 300W of electricity. GPU alone on base clocks has 180W TDP.
