This looks bad IMO, so distracting - instead of pulling Ratchet in you're pulling that rift effect towards you, you can literally see the scenery isn't moving at all, and all of a sudden you appear somewhere ahead...

It looks like he only teleported forward to the spot where the portal is. So a few meters in front of him, probably why there’s no scenery movement?

Insomniac has two separate teams who work on those games, same as ND (UC4, TLoU2) and GG (KZSF, HZD), so no issue.

Yes, the yellow rifts teleport you around the map, while the purple ones take you to another dimension/level.
It's from the gameplay we saw in the event. Therr is 2 types of portal world traversal like that one and the purple ones which are world to world travel.but is it native 4K ?

For me, it would come down to the exclusives on offer from MS. I'll only buy one console, buying both isn't an option, so MS are going to have to do quite a bit to tempt me away from Spiderman, the next God of War, HZD2, Demon Souls and whatever witchcraft Naughty Dog are cooking up next.

Switch no, too invested in ps ecosystem and then there are those amazing games to come.
But a lockheart for a good price, to play half a dozen or so of the best games xbox has to offer, that could be very tempting.

Its funny cause I'm literally the exact opposite... i have a ps4 pro with all the major exclusives minus TLoU2 and GoT at this point. At the beginning of the generation I was buying games fairly equally on both ps4 and Xbox but over time started focusing more on Xbox and once X1X came out and 3rd party games were all better on it I leaned even harder xbox.
Unfortunately I still have a bunch of ps4 discs so I can't go with a cheaper digital ps5 but if Sony had their own lockhart style console (hopefully w disc drive) i would be quicker to buy into playstation next gen.
I will eventually get a ps5 as well but probably not right out of the gate this time because what they've shown so far isn't even coming out for a year or two anyway except for Spiderman and maybe Ratchet but both of those scream budget/sale titles to me anyway so doesn't matter.

I think i will wait before buying a ps5, perhaps try and get one of the those console deals in six months time when you get a free game with it. Something like a horizon zero dawn edition console or even a dark souls one.
The problem i have atm is by back log, i have like 20 games i still have not played. I am still playing uncharted 4 atm, chapter 10 it has taken me a month to get that far, i played perhaps an hour here or there a day.
There are just to many damn good games out there.
I have not even played spider-man, days gone, assassins greed games, tbh the list just goes on and on lol.
Saying that, what i really want my console for is eventually down the line when they release diablo4, that will probaly be my bread and butter game for many many years after its release. If they deliver that is, blizzard aghh, used to be so good.

It's down to the games for me, and when they're due to come out for both systems. Both consoles are close enough in power, I'll likely buy the one that has the most exclusives coming out first which seem to interest me. Let's say that most exclusives are coming in year 2 for the XSX, not all, most... I'll get XSX later regardless of power. Pricing for both will likely be similar between XSX and PS5 on the high end in my opinion. If true, pricing is a non-factor to me.

If you watch last moores law is dead vid, and read most of the Nvidia leaks and digitimes, it seems TSMC pricing is high and Nvidia might be going with Samsung for their 8nm fab.
Makes me think that the new EUV process at TSMC is more expensive than most people think for the main chips, add in high memory pricing,...... and I think both consoles will be lucky to get to 500 bucks and could push 600, which for us Brits is same in GBP..
I think both MS and Sony have been reluctant to give pricing, because its not the usual console pricing.

I have many theories about why they may have been reluctant to give pricing. Some include not being sure how many systems will be available during the launch window to promise to retailers.
One theory I have is that they would only reveal pricing when pre-orders are going to go live and they can't go live without each retailer having a quantity # available to them. It is so far my favorite theory because it avoids conspiracy theory concepts.

Consoles are standard 7nm aren't they? Or they might claim being "enhanced 7nm" (meaning mature really). 7nm consoles in November 2020 will mean the process node is as mature as 28nm was for PS4 and Xbox One in November 2013. I will be shocked if these consoles come in at or above the PS3 and Xbox One's £425/£430 launch prices never mind £500-£600!
I will stick to my prediction that these consoles will be lower priced than most seem to think. Sony's 10 million for the first 4 months indicates they are going aggressive on price surely and Microsoft certainly won't just roll over. If I'm wrong I'll simply wait a short time for the inevitable price drops.
