It's okay to have high expectations, but people were out here expecting games that look like they are running on a 200tflop GPU from 2040

Well i am just hoping for hellblade 2 quality visuals. But i will settle for horizon quality visuals.

What i want to see is interactivity. If i use a fire arrow in a game, i want the trees and grass to catch fire. If I'm fighting in a jungle, i want trees falling and branches falling everywhere. I want to see halo 2 fake demo but at a higher visual fidelity. Or the anthem fake demo. Or even watchdogs vertical slice.

Didn't get that from Sony. Hopefully ms delivers

Gotta ask if Geoff is being paid = to the amount he says Halo!? The emphasis on it is getting to be grating.....I know it is MS's main game but still.

Watch Dogs Legion didn't seem too impressive but that might be because it is legit gameplay on current hardware rather than a dodgy vertical slice.

Reminds me of the Series X teardown, I remember Youtubers like Austin Evans kept repeating certain words and phrases like "fixed frequency" and "ray-tracing", it was obvious they were parroting what Xbox were telling them but the issue for me I didn't get the sense they knew what they were talking about lol It was a little cringe.

It's ok to have high expectations. We are getting an 8x GPU jump (almost 10x if you count the 1.3x tflops x1), 4x CPU bump and 40x SSD jump. and this is before IPC gains. We should be expecting more from devs.

I was looking at the ratchet demo and they have a lot of cool things. Lots of destruction, lots of particle effects, lots of NPC A.I, and ray tracing but it did nothing for me because it felt so formulaic. bigger and better simply isnt good enough. they need to do more.

Yeah, I'm with you. With an actually GOOD CPU I would like to see some real innovations in gameplay and mechanics. Things aren't so bad that 'every game is the same' but we all know that stealth 3rd person gamplay is pretty much a certain type of thing and the same for a lot of other game types and mechanics. I just don't think we're likely to see it this early in the gen. Would LOVE to be surprised though!

It looks mediocre, and plays like everything else. But still could be fun. But I don't like halo, and it didn't change that. But this isn't anything like ps3.

Oh please. Let's not go there. I think it looks good. Again, without viewing on 4k displays and even if you do, this gen will be more about native 4k with high settings. Not like a 3x the resolution type of thing. I thought it looked impressive and fun!

Well, it's early. Still looked good. I haven't seen them show fine print though...is all this running on XSX? Would just like to know that although even if not, I'm sure it's at least close to what it will be on XSX.

Its in engine. Prerendered. Gt7 was real time.

I agree. That looks AWESOME. Love the art and graphics style. Very cool! Everything looks good so far though but this definitely was the most striking to me, even above Forza's RT and shiny appeal.
