Right now (like most details about these consoles) things remain unclear. What we do know about the process node for XSX comes from DF where it is specifically stated it doesn't take advantage of EUV/7nm+ but just enhancements/improvements to 7nm i.e. process maturity. Given this I would expect PS5's APU to use the same process rather than a more expensive EUV version not to mention possible lower yields. 10 million for the first run points away from that.

I still say in any case these consoles will be quite a bit lower than £500, Geordie. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised! I hope anyway....

It saddens me that some are facing difficult financial situations that might prevent them from enjoying next gen gaming day one along with other priorities. Hope things get to normal and better, especially for those who lost their jobs/businesses during this craze.

On a side note, would love to see Leicester draw with Man United and Chelsea lose, that would be a happy ending for both. :messenger_winking_tongue:

The damage control is in full effect. Love how these peeps are literally only interested in selling you something.

Yes Gamepass, bla bla bla. As was always the case, people will talk about the games. Games coming out on gamepass can’t mean they now get a pass just because it’s 15$ a month. Talk about the games, not the service.

This. If gamepass has Sony quality titles then we can talk. It's all just fodder. Any third party I want to play I'm not waiting months to see if it fails and ends up coming to GP/PS Now. Their first party is no where near the level of Sony. The reason Sony don't put their games day and date is because people will actually buy them. It's the cruel reality but you can't hide behind "gamepass is a service" bullshit. Service me with good games GOD Damnit.

For insiders to put any sort of date on pre-recorded events/showcases is just on a hiding to nothing. We already know the dates can change very late in the day at the drop of a hat.

I'm thinking both Sony and Microsoft have most everything upto launch either recorded already or planned to recorded. They'll be no in-person events IMO.

Cheers, Bo. Though not a great shock to me, I was officially made redundant this week (second time in my working life :messenger_weary: ) I'm fairly confident I can find some work so not too worried yet.

Think I'll kick back on Sunday and hope for an exciting finish to the football season. (y)

Anyone know what has happened to Bo.

Sleep deprivation from Got.
Ate to many Tacos
dodgy camel curry.
Saving himself Xbox conference.
Abducted.
Bank creditors finally caught up with him.

Damn, got exposed. I spent a couple of days finishing my one meal per month new diet method I named "Cameltoe Diet". Does it sound right? I think it sounds trendy.

The physics in this game is insane that makes me want a racing mode for it, here are the new screenshots released lately. First cleanse your eyes from what you saw yesterday:

Now look at the twisted chassis here:

Look at the extremely detailed car parts inside that wrecked one

The driver flying out after his car got wrecked, those will be some laughable moments in the game!

They didn't say "yeah it's a goofy car game, let's not pay too much attention to car mechanics and parts" like most devs would do, and that's thanks to the PS5 Power.
I remember sinking 100s of hours into Carmageddon on the Amiga and I'm getting similar vibes. I think you might be right.

Blimey. Well... There it is.

As an aside I love these little snapshots into other cultures. It's absolutely fascinating.

Come here and I'll make you eat all kinds of meat/fish (chicken if you want). If you're a vegan I'll fetch you some grass.:lollipop_tears_of_joy:

That's in Saudi Arabia, I think. Every country has something somehow different, but a camel per big plate is overwhelming and it's a rare thing even in KSA and it only results massive wasted food or not 100% clean leftovers for the poor. Around 10-15 years now we've mostly shifted to buffets and it's much better to minimize food waste and provide clean food for the poor as weddings have people in hundreds and sometimes thousands depending on if you're socially active/known. It's funny that some tourists come and eat then try to pay thinking it's some kind of a traditional restaurant, of course anyone can come and eat and go during weddings/funerals.

This is me, the Omani Samurai, after coming back from my wedding in late 2016 if you're interested in our national outfit, mostly that's in special occasions.:lollipop_tears_of_joy:

This game just looks too good to be real, and yet it is, with laughably low requirements, this dev should teach all the others how to make games.
Well, that's because they were made up of professional animators. I guess my main worry is that the gameplay could suck. Usually the game studio hire animators to make things, but in this case we have animators hiring game developers to turn their art assets into games. Not a surprise it looks good if looking good is what they were trained to do.

The gameplay looks solid, partially thanks to the amazing animations.

Yeah Sony has gobbled up a huge portion of the engineering talent out there.

And obviously people tend to dig their creative talent as well. I wish they'd do more genres though, and just in general less narrative driven stuff. Would love to see Sony talent put behind a shooter again for instance.

me too. My biggest beef with them is the lack of gameplay diversity with their big budget stuff. I am so sick of serious AAA narrative driven stuff with mediocre, derivative gameplay and zero replay value. I want a game you can play multiple times for 300+ hours.

I'm curious. What does camel taste closest to? Beef, chicken...I assume you don't eat pork? I'm curious, because I've made it a point to try various exotic meats, and there just aren't any camels in in SEA.

I'm from Oman, Saudis are our neighbors. It's a country you barely hear about for not being politically active that much and have a small population (4.2M) although as big as UK/Japan. :lollipop_tears_of_joy:

It's not as soft as lamb, not as stiff as beef. It's drier than lamb, more oily than beef. Our cattle graze from the wild so they climb mountains and so, same for goats and camels. The meat fiber of our beef is much stiffer, much visible, and tastes deeper and cleaner that some imported meat from Australia, New Zealand but needs different methods of cooking. Soaps/curry are wonderful for our beef, yet imported meat tastes slightly like liver when boiled. For a steak the imported meat is much, much more easier to cook without tendering. For grills goat meat is the best, especially our traditional on stone cooking, camel is in between for both.

Some people suffer from being able to be anesthetization-proof which can be problematic during medical operations, but very rare and mostly for being extremely active like shepherds and drinking camel milk and eating its meat in a daily basis. Red meat tends to raise adrenaline so probably that has something to do with it? Not sure.

Imagine the amount of stuffing you need to pack into a camel.
And tinfoil, we are talking NASA sheets here, for that heat shield.

here, beef imported from aus and nz is irradiated and put in those vacuum packs. Irradiation makes the meat taste bad.

It came right during early monsoon season, so it's not problematic although they were a lot. It could be devastating if we tend to be dependent on local wheat which is a small percentage of what's sold locally that's mostly imported from Asia, mainly rice though. Rice/wheat/corn are pretty weak against such flocks but we moved on from depending on those locally, rice was a rarity to be farmed here though but most farms are coconuts, bananas, and other tropical fruits.

A photo I made 10 years ago, still relevant, grass is also critical business to sell for shepherds during dry season:

Mediocre gameplay?? What exclusive games have better gameplay than TLOU 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-man, Bloodborne, etc

Don’t you get enough of the 300h+ from the ubisofts of the world? For me even the Sony open worlds are becoming too long. Had to walk away from Days Gone, too many fresh experiences out there to not move on after a decent fill. Death Stranding was worthwhile tho.

With the Forza trailer being "in engine" on unspecified hardware and with unspecified frametimes (it wasn't even stated as realtime) and with the Halo Infinite demo being confirmed running on PC, we might very well have not seen a single game running on XSX in the whole showcase yesterday...

This is honestly very disappointing a few month before launch and with the wrong-messaging of the previous XSX showcase borderline offensive. But it actually fits to the rumour that the PS5 is further along in development and that Sony is a lot more open behind the scenes than Microsoft.

Yes Gamepass, bla bla bla. As was always the case, people will talk about the games. Games coming out on gamepass can’t mean they now get a pass just because it’s 15$ a month. Talk about the games, not the service.

This gamepass talk and all, but all those people talking gamepass all day are missing important points:

* No everyone is interested to play 100 games a year, or some others won't have time, some like me prefer playing quality over quantity.
* No everyone is necessarily a fan of Halo, Gears, Forza and the other MS games they showed yesterday (i love the 360 gears games, but to me the franchise ended when Epic left)
* Thing is blind people like this girl is that... they don't realize this will dictate you what you play, and what you don't play. If someone put 100 bucks on gamepass he already blew his budget for 2 day one games of "his choice", that's a huge deal. Those robots people will without realizing it find themselves playing games just because it's in "gamepass", and skip much better games they would love much more because it's not in "gamepass"

And about this "muh great deal with great price", well you know what i can also do with 100 bucks? welp i can buy around from 5 to 20 games on sold, games that "I" have chosen myself and that i will keep "forever" and not timed. For me this a much much better deal that the gamepass, actually it's not even close.

But sure, everyone with this his cup of tea.
