Cyberpunk 2077 PC System Requirements

Cyberpunk is the only reason the RTX 3080 is my radar right now, so maybe it was a good thing I could not get a hold of one. Even the space it will take up is surprising as I figured at the minimum it would be over 100GB.

It's roughly as capable as ps4 Pro.

System recommendations are pretty much useless these days unless they specify what resolution they're recommended for.

edit: I see someone noted 1080. Thanks. 👍

It has been drastically downgraded, starting from that RTX 30 series trailer. Probably the game was just too big in size.

Gonna have to beat some games to clear up space on the SSD but other than that I am golden, with room to spare. Not that I was too worried about running the game but I'd like to be able to handle RTX and high settings at 1080p/60

Everyone needs to remember that this game was supposed to come out long before "next-gen" arrived. Of course the recommended specs are going to be low.

1060 recommended? for what? 720p ? low details?
gtx 770 is ancient history too
1060 still is able to run recent games. Not at the highest settings, but still 60 frames at 1080 on medium to high settings.

But yeah, I doubt it will be the case with this one.

Does anyone know how to make DirectX 12 work on Windows 7? Is there a specific update I need to get? I haven't installed any updates past SP1 and I can't find anything on google about it.

Did the devs mention 30fps?
1080p 30 FPS is just as obvious as sunrise in the morning. GTX 1060 is equivalent to PS4 Pro and it will not and cannot run this game in 1080p 60 also due to CPU limitations. Moreover, don't overestimate CDPRs ability to optimize their games on PC just in general and especially at launch.

How does a rx 580 compare to the fury x that's recommended?
It's a bit better in some games than GTX 1060. Also, Fury X only has 4GB of VRAM, RX 580 has 8.

I believe you can try using dxvk on windows 7 to do that. I know that it exists for more than linux but how and where do to so i haven't got a clue so maybe try searching for that specifically.
