Cyberpunk 2077 PC System Requirements

I have a Ryzen 5 1600, 16gb RAM, GTX 1060 6gb, 240gb SSD - would this be a better experience on that or on PS5?
At launch? Probably. But a 1060 is about equivalent to a PS4 Pro so PS5 is definitely going to push it further once they optimize the port and do the proper next gen version.

Ok I'll go with the PS5 version then - I'd rather play on that with the TV and stuff anyway

1660Ti is still a totally solid 1080p card, I think you will be just fine.

Yeah, it has surprised me more often than not with its ability to keep up with current games.

The only recent game it struggled with was Metro Exodus in the desert level in which I had to lower it to High settings to get 40fps+. Coming off from three generations of Console gaming and back into PC, I'm not quite bothered too much over frames per second as an enthusiast would - so there's that.

When I do build a pc in the future with the 3080 in mind, then I'll definitely be more laser focused on getting the most out of my machine.

first valhalla , now this , looks like we no need to do anything to our middle specs pcs yet , i was expecting more jump, guess it will come later then. will be fine on gtx 1060 laptop still i see.

The game visually doesn't even look that good and people are surprised the requirments are so low?
It looks really good but I understand. To me it's more of how many details and NPC at a time CP is throwing at us in a city and yet the CPU/GPU required are modest.

That's some weird requirements. The gap between a RX 470 and GTX 1060 isn't very big. Likewise, 8GB vs 12GB isn't much of a difference either. My guess would be that a 2080ti will do 4K/60fps/Ultra no RTX. Maybe a 2080ti/3070 for 4K DLSS + RTX effects. It could be way heavier than this based on that previous showing, but WD Legion was like that and in the end has reasonable requirement for RTX.

It's going to run just fine unless you want the best of the best in all rtx-related effects.

It's a cross-gen title, after all.

Still, I'll be playing on a 3090 xD

let's translate : "i don't like the da, this cannot be technically impressive !"
This is obviously the peak of visual advancments that should bring 2080ti to it's knees.

Just look at that glorious hair and that plastic skin and those textures mmmm...

I think only RDR2 can compete with these kinds of advancments.

what do you prove playing the youtube compressed cherry picking card ?
for better screenshots :

the game will look like that on an actual screen (at least on high end pc and next gen console).

ex: not too much compressed screenshot :

I dont get it but sometimes this game looks graphicly like true next gen but sometimes it looks like slighlty modded gta V

This happens a lot in more open games. Some times of day tend to look a lot worse than others. And since the game is huge some areas might have gotten more work than others.

All the people in this thread saying recommended is for 30fps, what grounds do you have other than justifying spending a fuckton of cash on your rigs and needing them to be justified?

I have a 4790k so hopefully I'm golden once I've exchanged a kidney for a 3080.

All I see is ugly looking characters made out of plastic and lots of colorful lights. Much advancments.

I like the graphics but people can't really expect ellie and joel level of details for a game with hundreds of npc unfortunately, we are 1-2 gen away from that.

Another proof of how the "dimishing returns" narrative is absolute bullshit.

I actually didn't see a single thing in this video that made me think a high spec pc would be required to play this.
A lot of what makes Cyberpunk so impressive is the *for an open world game curve. It's not that we have never seen graphics on this level of fidelity, it's that we've never seen anything like it at this scale.

Cool, looks like my 1070 ti will still hold up nicely. I wont get all the fancy ray tracing lighting tech, but it doesn't seem like I'll have to settle for medium or lower to get a solid frame rate.

And yet it runs on PS4 and One X. Something doesn't add up with your "Scale never seen before". Can you tell me what's so special compared to GTAV or even IV when it comes to open world? As I understand they simply made it more compact with more verticality. Dense crowds goes as far as first Ass Creed. I legit struggle to see this scale never seen before. Or It's simply CDPR fanboys going full Star Citizen?

GTX 980 4GB still (kinda) in the game! I should be able to do 1080p30 sounds like, with decent settings.

Just bought a house, so this will have to do.

A lot of people in this thread have expressed surprise that the requirements are so low - I was responding to them.

I mean games like RDR2 and GTA5 are also massive achievements but the density and detail of the world in Cyberpunk looks far beyond that.

It's debatable whether this is more about technology or sheer amount of man hours put into the game, of course.

i guess they not showing any screenshots from X1 version. wonder how bad that will do and look. 900p ? dynamic maybe. must be so hard to run on that . thats why pc not maxed has not high specs for game i guess.

Does anyone know how to make DirectX 12 work on Windows 7? Is there a specific update I need to get? I haven't installed any updates past SP1 and I can't find anything on google about it.
Unfortunately it is only available on a game by game basis, IIRC. WoW was one of the first to get a patch for it on 7, and I don't believe there was an associated Windows 7 update.
In theory it'll just work when you install Cyberpunk. Definitely going to need recent/up to date drivers if that wasn't already part of the plan.
I believe you can try using dxvk on windows 7 to do that. I know that it exists for more than linux but how and where do to so i haven't got a clue so maybe try searching for that specifically.
DXVK translates DirectX9/10/11 to Vulkan. Unless something has changed DX12 isn't covered.
