The Playstation has Fans, but the PS5 has HUGE fans, a whopping Heat Sink and Liquid metal. Is this the T1000 in console form? Find out this and more inside.

One of the main points discussed is that the inclusion of wifi 6.0, which theoretically can hit up to 9.6 Gbps, and Bluetooth 5.1, which can give spatial distance according to the angle of arrival and angle of detection up to 1cm in accuracy, is for the use in PSVR2 as a wireless HMD.

The massively increase bandwidth of wifi 6.0 and the ability to send and receive data at the same time without adding latency are two massive toward and affordable wireless HMD.

With the addition to the inside out tracking tacked with the new accurate Bluetooth 5.1 positional tracking capabilities would provide a better alternative to the currently featured tracking system of the PSVR which depends on the camera and light points.

Ask me about my wife's perfect butthole
Wireless VR would be fucking dope.

Was this guy predicting more though? Like some stacked ram tech or something? Did he discuss that?

Such an awesome video! First time I noticed some things because of Nxgamer. Like the extra heatsink in the plating. Love his videos!

edit: also the stuff on PSVR2, can’t wait for a wireless nextgen PSVR (also because of wifi6 is onboard)

He actually said both.
Then he's a traitor to both sides and must be punished!

On a side note, I wasn't aware of the positional stuff for the new Bluetooth version. If Sony have actually figured out how to do a functioning wireless VR HMD, I may have to look at getting a PS5 sooner than expected...

Really happy they seem to have put such an emphasis on cooling. The sub par job on the PS4 and Pro were easily my least favorite aspects of those consoles. Made playing games without headphones a near impossibility for. Hopefully the efforts here results in a much quieter console.

Did he say something good about it?
Then its a good video
Did he say something bad about it?
Then its not a good video.
He always nitpicks things he doesn't like about PS games or hardware.
Unlike others who trip over themselves praising MS.

NX Gamer never was invited to their offices, given presents or tweeted by Shu about his "good work", I'll give you that.

Could wifi6 be used together with Bluetooth for PSVR2 wireless?
Image via WiFi, inputs and sound via Bluetooth (hopefully psvr2 doesn't need separate headphones).

Let me guess, all the people who review Xbox and are praising the SX are just biased shills?

One question, why wouldn’t DF praise the company who reached out and invited them months in advance to see and build a unfinished console? Is the console bad? Does it even deserve any hate other than not havIng a strong first party showing?

No idea why Xbox being confident in their product is a bad thing, and obviously people must be paid if they say anything positive about it.

At this point, you wouldve thought people would realise that ms needed every bit of pr - which is working. To assume that sony is not confident in their console because they are not doing something they never did is a weak arguement to downplay ps5. Extremely weak.

Vive Wireless Adapter is 24Gb/s and it's barelly enough for OG Vive resolution. Forget about wireless PSVR2 using console WiFi.

Just my opinion but I usually don't take people or companys serious that are shouting at everyone how awesome they are.
I hate overconfidence. Thats probably why I like a more humble approach. And yes this was also the case for PS3 - I was very sceptical with how they marketed that console and rightly so. Although they still managed to safe their face with how that gen ended overall.

I'm sure NXGamer would rather see conversations around the content of their video rather than another bickering fest. Can we get back on topic please, or you will be removed so the thread can get back on topic. If you want to discuss conspiracy theories, bias, marketing and PR take it to a group PM please.

Does that not use the IntelWiGig which is 4.6 to 7Gbps, which is lower than Wifi 6's 9.6Gbps.

Not taking into account the new compression technology within the PS5 SoC and likely the HMD accepting compressed formats and decom on the fly, it should be fine.

With Oculus Quest 2 about to come out, and the Oculus platform seemingly the largest one in terms of VR adoption, I think PSVR pretty much has to be wireless to compete going forward. Can easily see some of these inclusions in Ps5 being put in it for that reason.

Sony fans love him.

I think that answers your questions.

Jesus. Every single post I ever see from you is in some way or other complaining about Sony, its fans, or your perceived unfairness towards Xbox. Seriously, just chill out. Not every single thread requires you or anyone else to take unnecessary and unprompted jabs at the competition. It’s so fucking tiresome.

edit: yes mate. You are triggered. Very, very often.

That's what google says about it's bandwidth. Maybe that's compressed?

Not sure - but good and fast compression/decompression could help with that.
First you would need fast enough compression. We are talking about something around 1440x1600 per eye in 90fps to even 2160x2160 per eye in 120fps. And you cannot introduce any visible lag unless you want user to fell sick after few minutes.

Wifi, like networks, TCP etc as a whole is built around compression, video streaming is. The PS5 SoC - I/O and SSD is the same.

I think we can see a pattern here that suits Wireless VR when it is built INTO the system (or should I say Baked) from the start rather than an add-on.

It sounds logical indeed.

Rather than Sony would just smash stuff together "yaah lets add this wifi thingy too, it is cool!"

And then afterwards think "hmm, does our vr stuff work with it?!"

So if psvr2 is meant to be wireless, they have started to engineer PS5 to suit that years ago

We have learned that it's even more ugly on the inside than it is on the outside.

Edit: removable side panels are a cool idea. I hope instead of releasing limited edition consoles, Sony will release just side panels and a controller.

Sure you would have done a better job than Sony. LOL

I’ve never seen any NX content before but I’m a fan now. Good on you, mate. Very much my sort of content if this video is anything to go by. Bonus points for being from this island. Subbed, looking forward to more.

Shame on the distrustful that reminded me that this forum is full of whiny children that think everyone picks a side and have to taint every thread with it. It’s so boring to read.

Who was saying Sony aren’t confident in the PS5 though? I certainly wasn’t. You must be an absolute muppet of a human being to think Sony aren’t confident in their own console, they’ve went multiple generations selling over a hundred million units of each.

The only weak part here is that whenever Xbox is mentioned, some goon has to bring PlayStation into it like it’s a personal competition.

there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with both being confident in their product. It’s just sad to see that certain fanboys will go out of their way to destroy people’s reputation because they dare say anything good about Xbox.

Hmm
Massive difference though, they actually have Xbox units in their homes and are generally free to say whatever they feel about it, they just have topics to focus on like BC ect, but they are free to review it as is. It just shows to me that Xbox are confident in their product and Sony aren't.

I'll wait until independant reviews are done before fully judging it but the lack of transparency is sad.

Hmm?

The fan might be big but isn’t it a terrible idea to have it so enclosed like that and facing a side plate ?

Big or not, it will be louder than Xbox again and it’s overall shape is tighter in space with slimmer approach doesn’t instil much confidence either.
