First look at Mark Wahlberg as Victor "Goddamn" Sullivan

They're obviously going for a young Nate and Sully. I think Tom Holland has potential to be a great young Nate.

Question is can he do a great job playing the character.

I think he looks OK as Sully, the main thing is if he is able to pull off the essence of the character. Sully is such a freaking GREAT character.

They have been shooting Uncharted stuff in Barcelona these days. In some of the pictures of the set you can see a very cool old school car, or the kid with some Nate-ish clothes:

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
I’ll protect the movie it’s only an adventure franchise, you don’t need to worry about effort from Mark and Tom, Uncharted movie is too good of an opportunity to pass up. Day 1 mother fu*kers.

I'm assuming this movie is going to be a shit sandwich. So far they have two short low-effort cosplay variations in the two most important roles. Wahlberg can't act unless the role is "be Marc Wahlberg" and I can't see Tom Holland pulling off Nathan Drake, he's one of those actors that will end up playing "younger" characters his entire career. He literally puffs out his cheeks to do his "serious" look.

As I'm already expecting the worst, I really hope this is as awful as humanly possible so that it's worth watching when it hits streaming services in 6 months for that reason alone. I like watching shit movies when I can't sleep.

Many “Whelps”! Handle It!
That's Mark Wahlberg with a moustache, alright. Maybe they needed someone who was older yet had the physicality to be leaping around and climbing stuff when a stunt double wasn't an option. Or maybe they figure he will put asses in seats. Fingers crossed.

I love Mark Whalberg and I really liked Tom Holland as Peter Parker but wtf is this casting??!! This is gonna be a YIKES for me, dawg.

I think this movie will reveal very quickly that Uncharted never had a good story, or good characters.

If it's shot on location in some exotic locations and has good action, I'll watch it.

Gtfo here with that trash opinion.

The movie? Likely to be trash.

The game? That's the dumbest thing I've heard. You can complain about the gameplay, but the characters are effing ace compared to most games.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife

Care to elaborate? I´m legit curious about what makes them effing ace, imo they were like your average characters in any tv show.

Action + bants. This is Marky Mark's calling card. He's gonna rock this, just wait and see. The question is, will the script/writing be good enough? I can see Tom and Mark having excellent chemistry on-screen. Zombieland director at the helm too. This should be a solid flick.

Think the same about Indiana Jones? Because there’s nothing about the plots and characters in those movies better than what they do in Uncharted. In fact, by the fourth game Nate is far more three dimensional than Indy ever was.

Maybe I should replay them someday, because right now I don't remember such three dimensionality. (Played them ages ago)

But really, I'm not saying this as a critique (I enjoyed the games, specially 2 and 4), it's just that I would like to know what makes them specially well written compared to other characters from games like, I dunno, God of War or RDR2.
