Why? The disk drive makes noise. Rain is wet. It’s not like it’s in constant use, you copy the contents to the hard drive and then it does a verification check now and then.
Personally, I’d rather the flexibility of a disk than the storage management of a digital edition.

That is actually a faulty disc drive.
No disc drive ever do that amount of noise unless it is falty.
I should not use it anymore and contact warranty ASAP for a replacement.

The game does look like this, though of course there’s certain areas that look more dull than others. There’s only so much you can do to make some drab dilapidated & dark dungeon look nice

yep. I'm holding off simply because it is a 100% remake. the game looks stunning but i will happily wait for a discount.Imagine what is all the others games if DeS PS5 is not impressive
Sad it could have new places to explore to deserve a repurchase.
R&C however is a new game. I can't wait to purchase it on day 1.

Some of you are reading way too much into these reports - there's always a small percentage of defective units. As long as it's not a wide spread issue, what we're seeing is normal.
Unless people think 100% of all manufactured tech - such as phones, computers, tablets, consoles etc - all work flawlessly.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if those smoking Series X consoles were faked, at the start of this (PS4) gen, some dumbass put a lighter against the side of a PS4 and said it had melted due to overheating, the idiot had melted the side where cold air is sucked in, not hot air out.
