CYBERPUNK 2077 |OT2| The Last Samurai [>56K Warning_]

All the bugs and etc put me off buying this game day 1

have they fixed the game yet? Whats currently wrong with it?
Dunno, I'm playing since day 1 and never had the quantity of gamebreaking bugs 99% of the internet seems to have encountered. There is the occasional physics glitch here and there and I had one mission that seemed bugged, until I reloaded after which it un-glitched itself. Save early, save often and you should be fine. I hit F5 reflexively every once in a while but so far only had very few issues myself. R5 1600, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1080. First Gen Ryzen isn't the most stable platform in town, but I'm having very few issues.

Seems like we're well on our way to an OT3 - been quite a while since we've had an OT this busy.

Started playing on the Series X after my copy arrived. I dug out the old Xbox One for a spin and indeed it does not run well but so far the experience on the Series X has been fantastic. Stable. Game looks great. Not quite like PC or Stadia quality mode on 4K, but still very impressive.

It's fine on PC.
Also fine on Xbox Series X. Playstation versions seem to crash a lot based on friends’ experiences and posts here and elsewhere.

I own both next gen consoles and canceled my Amazon preorder for the PS4 version and decided to wait for impressions of both versions. Glad I did as I’ve only had one crash and four times I had to reload a save in 40 hours or so while my buddies playing on PS4 and PS5 are all in the double digits in crashes.

PC is definitely the way to go if one has a good one though. Xbox Series X second best option currently.

What about ps4/ps5
I’m playing on PS5, 12 hours in and five crashes. Occasional floating objects like somebody’s phone, when I boot up the game sometimes I have to re-enable and then disable subtitles because there will be some random subtitle stuck on my screen. I’ve seen a few characters standing inside tables or chairs, seen a character T posing, basically some minor visual glitches for the most part but they’re so minimal that really it hasn’t bothered me. I may experience some quest bugs down a line or my crashes might get worse, hopefully not. But for the most part it looks great, please great, runs smooth.

I can’t speak for how it is on ps4 but I have had far worse experiences with games that have been out for a year or more, such as modern warfare 2019, every few days it decides to delete data packs and I have to re-download 50 GB worth of shit just to play the fucking game, yet Sony is OK with that instead of removing it from the store or telling them to fix it, you don’t see multiple videos, articles and memes about that shit. Actually, you don’t see any at all because it’s outdated to hate on call of duty these days, it’s not 2013 anymore and that shits just played out.

Sorry for the rant lol but experiencing this game firsthand has pissed me off to be honest about the outrage over this game, it’s fucking ridiculous. I feel really bad for CDPR.

Patch made things even worse on PS5, 4 crashes in 30 minutes.

I feel so sorry for the developers, this game should’ve been released at a way better state.

Seems like it depends on the user, I guess you could buy a disk version see how it plays and return it if your not happy

My game reliably crashes like once an hour. I'm definitely past 30 hard crashes so far. I love the game, but the amount of bugs definitely soured the experienced.

thats so weird for consoles as i mean why ? i got no crashes at all on gtx 1060 which is on low settings anyway , so ps4 basic doing even worse then this , but because ps4 basic is main version it means that other ps4 pro or ps5 using that main version its doesnt look so good for it . then its looks good for pc version as i play game no problems at all, yes trying to get mostly 30fps but no crashes there. imean ps4 version was like over 100 gb yes , when steam version with one language is just 63 gb with latest patch there. so must be something went wrong there.

Does anyone else get a really quick white flash sometimes while playing? Kinda hard to explain. Playing on PC, 3080, up to date drivers etc. Not really annoying cause it aint that frequent but still it’s strange.
Yes, and I also own a 3080. It usually happens on surfaces that are almost on the edge of the screen, sometimes also right in front of me, but it's rare, haven't seen that in a long while. I think it's because of the global illumination or some other rt effect.

Got this bad ass car from killing some dudes and then was driving to do an cop mission and fell into a hole of nothing and game went into an infinite reloading loop.

Also crashed like 3 other times. PS4 base.

You should be able to sell shit on the fly. Should of had some sort of mission that unlocks a protable merchant or something. Its just busy work to always find a merchant. Ya i know they are scattered everywhere on the map but that makes it worse. It they were going to give you drop boxes everywhere just make it so i can sell shit from the menu then. Would be a huge QOL improvement.

Also there should be an option to mass sell or disassemble items instead of one by one. You can only do that for junk but i should be able to do it for guns gear and food.

Anyone know how to get legendary quickhacks? I've got a ton of legendary/rare/etc quickhack components, 20 Intelligence, and unlocked perk to craft them ( "Bartmoss Legacy"). But you need epic quickhacks to craft them as well ( and a perk to craft those)...so I guess there is no skipping through without it?

Just rolled credits. Easily my GOTY. Had so much fun in Night City. I can't wait to start up a new game.

I'm only about 60% through the main story and I'm ready for playthrough #2 already. Mainly because I have some ideas on what I want to do now that I actually know what I can do. 1st playthroughs always tend to be an unorganized mess for me as far as stuff like builds, equipment, etc. go.

My main suspiscions are RAM. When I run Cyberpunk on my PC it is using like 12gbs of system ram and 6gbs of graphics ram. I honestly don't think the less than 8gbs of RAM in the PS4 can cut it these days. Either way like others have said it is a damn shame because the PC version is fucking GOTY. I really wish they had ditched the old gen consoles totally and just released it on the PC then later on the next gen.

But then thinking about it, the kind of game that CP2077 is it was always guaranteed to be a tad bit buggy, In my experience I have yet to play an open world sand box type game that isn't a complete mess on release. Hell GTA 5 after 7 years is still a mess in many ways. Either way I have had a blast with the game. I am on my fourth and final playthrough then gonna shelve it till we get some decent DLC.

Fourth? Crom almighty, are you people using drugs? :p
I'm 110 hours in, and still about half way through ( main story, quests and gigs).

till we get some decent DLC
I really hope at least one is focused on adding more content to the world. More active cyberware, open up some locations ( like nightclubs), world encounters, quests you get in Afterlife, etc.

I did notice that. I kinda feel like I cheated on Judy though.
You mean they added her as female/lesbian option to that encounter in "No Tell" motel?

I’m starting to get crashes like crazy on PS5 and it’s beginning to get to me. I’m loving this game though, I don’t know if I should stop for now and wait for a couple of more smaller patches, or keep playing.

So, since many of you played/finished the game: how do you fell the quest design is in Cyberpunk 2077?
Hit or miss. When it hits, it hits fucking home. Some great/strange ideas and some great optional dialogue and paths like Witcher 3. But too many of them are your standard go here kill this guy stuff and compared to something like the witcher where you get lore, monsters, variety of encounters it's almost always a gonk with a gun so you're never quite experiencing the same variety.

The LEVEL design is where even the most stupid and boring sidequests shine. There's almost ALWAYS a way in for any kind of player. You can hack, talk, sneak, parkour, shoot, etc your way through almost all of them which is interesting. But too often I found it was odd when quest triggers affected other quests and when they didn't, and when I had options versus when I didn't. It's also punishing to some players as there is almost no reason to actually "Sneak" in on the missions that want you to be quiet because you're typically missing on loots, shards, etc by doing so, unless you want to add a ton of time onto your mission.

They deserve major kudos for having majority of the quests have doors you can shove open if you played a tough guy, hack if you're a hacker, parkour into from a ceiling, sneak in from the back, etc.

Most of the "main" story quests are your bog standard "talk to people, get exposition of their (sometimes boring as hell) backstory, help them on a mission to kill some dudes, wait til they call you for next stage of the quest." All of the best quests were not the main plot line quests to me, and even so I feel a lot of the plot threads (Like River's quest holy shit) completely get thrown to the side.

There are also SOME organic quest finding while wondering through the world like vending machines and the ranting guy outside Misty's and other ones, but majority of the quests are your typical shooter schlock for the most part. That's not to say it's bad, it's just not really anything to write home about.

It makes me wish there were more weird quests in the game like the talking vending machine or skippy. Those are the types of things I felt the game was really kind of embracing being itself and doing its own thing versus the standard "Go to X, Scan Y, talk to Z, Kill A." Quests that most boiled down to.

Just finished up the game and apparently got the "hidden ending" by accident (yay for being interrupted at the right time) and the kit and level to fight through it. It's a good solid game but I have no desire to replay it anytime soon, to much Ubisoft open world and collecting icons than an actual RPG for my liking.

Judy dumped me at the end?! Lol fuck like it can't get anymore depressing.

Yeah there's like only one ending where that spoiler doesn't happen.

The endings in general feel half baked and like they really try to shove the Johnny stuff on you at the end.

nice, what you think of the main story?
Thought it was solid with some really good characters. Judy in particular is fantastic. Vik, Jackie, and Panam are all really good as well.

After I finished, it offered me the chance to go to the main menu or to load my last save before the point of no return. It said there would be something special waiting for me. So I loaded my save but I didnt see anything new in my inventory. What exactly am I looking for?

Can I start a new game while keeping my old game? Do the saves get mixed up?
You have your level and background story displayed next to the save to make identifying it easier. The main problem is limited number of saves on a console - great to know we got new hardware and are still stuck with same 20 slots to save your game as last gen.

Some enemies do straight up Matrix-style bullet dodging. Is it possible to get that cyber mod?

Started over because I hated how my V looked and I learned many things I wish a I know at the start of the game. I am glad I figured out how to properly hack that Millitech shard and ended up ten thousand richer in Eddies.

Finished the game at 60hrs. Generally, I loved it. I'm happy with my ending, and felt it was a good ride if not cut a little short. However, the amount of goddamn bugs really soured the experienced. I crashed twice during the ending, including in the final custscene. Like what the fuck? I probably had 35+ crashes on PS5 over 60 hours, plus a ton of other graphical/UI bugs. It's a damn shame because others may not have the patience to put up with those issues and won't get to experience the game's positives, of which there are many (characters, music, setpieces, main/side mission narratives and action - even the combat improved for me significantly as my character leveled up).

Will probably do another playthrough when they release the next-gen version.

my friend came over at 430 and we played this all afternoon until now. 5 hours on PS5 doing story and freeroam and driving and we didn't see a single crash or bug.

we started using the katana, and after upgrading it a bunch, it has become a one-hit kill weapon for most situations. plus it aids in stealth, as it will not alert nearby enemies as long as you quickly slice someone. the decapitations and dismemberments are fucking awesome ultra violence, heads and limbs flying left and right. early we spent some time taking out an entire mall full of enemies. you feel like a total badass, no doubt.

The teleporting? That's kerenzikov/sandevistan. You can see what cyberware they have if you scan them.
If you mean the bullets curving, I think that's supposed to be the evasion stat but I think that's broken for the player.

Are you playing on Quality or Performance mode on Series X? I keep going back and forth. There is a bit less grain in the Quality mode and the amount of NPC Pedestrians and Vehicles are higher in Quality Mode. But in Performance mode the visuals look very close to Quality mode and the frame rate is 60 most of the time. It is just a big toss up to me...at times some areas look a bit cleaner in Quality mode. I wish DF or VG did another analysis since there has been a lot of improvements since 1.04 patch.

There's a bullet time mod that you can replace your cyberware deck with. It's powerful but you'll lose your ability to hack. Otherwise there's a dodging skill in one of the trees that will give you a short burst of slowmo.

Ah yeah, I remember seeing that. Intriguing, but there's no way I'm giving my ability to quickhack.
