The guy in the wheelchair (the one stuck in a car) and the other that starts running where the moments when I lost it and started laughing hard
The "PREFAB MISSING" cubes killed me in addition to these

I was thinking, that instead of taking time to load 3 models one after another in very quick succession, maybe there would be a possibility to shorten the time of loading high quality model?
But you are probably right and ... there would be just nothing before high quality model loaded

The reason for these is for "immersion" since popin is really distracting. So the idea is that when you are 1m away you have a nice high quality LOD (level of detail), 10M away you have less detail, 100M away even less detail, etc. Things should be culled at a certain distance of course. The problem seems to be their model/texture streaming pipeline is busted, a player should not notice these LOD changes lol

Example of an LOD scale, you can still tell what it is but considerably less Tris:

Ouch, this was like watching the No Man’s Sky launch roasting. Obviously not an entirely fair take unless you’re just searching for faults, I’ve noticed about 10% of the bugs and missing features shown here in my 40 hours, but still, very much ouch.

They absolutely need to get the patches and dlc right, delay if necessary, while this video brutally lump together all the bad stuff you can dig up it’s clear that they have lots of work to do until they reach full potential of this IP and game world. I just hope they don’t just drop it because of the negativity but instead get triggered to keep pushing and improving it like Hello Games did. It deserves it, once it gets it right it really gets it right. I already love the game with bugs and all but can’t wait for the improvements! Nomad playthrough for now, will try Street kid for the update playthrough.

Resetera literally saying ignore the video due to an old WE WUZ KING joke, and also including footage from Skillup ....jesus that site needs to be burned
I'm pretty progressive but yeah... reading that thread they can be really fucking stupid. This video does not make SkillUp (a GOOD gaming youtuber actually lol), The Quartering (A POS) and YongYea (Grifting POS) look good. The handwringing over there can be so irritating

That happens in every single Crowbcat thread there.

Starts off with people praising the vid, someone brings up that "racist" stuff from years ago and then they turn to shitting on the channel until the thread is closed

40 minutes video that felt like 2 min. Great content.

I'm loving the game, but anyone saying "I havent encountered anything buggy during my 90h on PC" is just straight lying

And there are a looot of people saying shit like that

Like, look at this shit
lot of people blinded with "post purchase rationalization". Shit like in the Jason Schrier topic is just cringe as hell

Funny video aside I didn't know Saints Row 1 had such nice physics.

Saint's row 1 is the junkiest game. It's a terrible game that is also somehow great fun and heart.
The fact that it does open world stuff and physics better than 2077 speaks for itself lol.
You can say I have a special relationship with Saints Row 1 :p (A gift I made for a friend last month. had to take a pic before giving it to him lol)

Edit: Yes... I have my own copy too...

The best missions so far have been the main storyline, but that’s usually after loads of cringe dialogue and options you can pick that ultimately have no affect on the outcome. Does it get any better?
Not really. The game really peaks with the main quests leading to the heist mission. From then on is more of the same, and not necessarily better.

Harsh take, there are lots of good people there but they can’t be heard because everyone is constantly biting their tongue to not get a warning or ban. The mod team just need to look at why GAF is a more pleasant place now. Can’t have meaningful or truthful discussions with a gun to your face.

Looking at this, it amazes me how many different immersion-breaking bugs there seem to be. I was going to buy it, but im seriously thinking of skipping it all together.

The lengths CDPR went through to mislead customers is not something I want to encourage in any way.
If you have a PC, don’t hesitate, it’s not the most polished game right now but you don’t stumble across these bugs all the time. As I said earlier I’ve probably noticed about 10% of what’s shown here during about 40 hours. Guess I know now that I shouldn’t be scared for the cops though lol
Biggest disappointment for me is the noninteractive market place. It’s crowded, people are eating, talking, playing music, it looks good and you can almost smell it, but you can’t actually do anything at all unless there is a quest.

Even if the game did not had bugs, it's a bad rpg and a terrible open world game... Graphics are great, story is okish, writing is good, characters are also good for most part but it's no bethesda, bioware or witcher 3 when it comes to game as a whole. It's less than sum of it's parts sadly.
I finished it and I don't feel the time was wasted but it's like 6/10. Maybe 7 if there were no bugs, better performance and at least fixed police, npcs and basic stuff.

Btw, technical question - why do low LOD assets even load in many games up close?
You often see building, vehicles and characters go through super low, low, medium, high poly lod models when loading the game or like in 2077 - everywhere.
Isn't it a waste of resources, especially on a console which does not have quality settings, to cycle all the LOD models instead of focusing all the loading time of assets to just show high poly model?
What's the pint of loading all those low poly models ? Doesn't it take time from loading high poly model? I Know it's not addative and the model is replaced each time, so it's super weird.

This is exactly what I think of this game. Mediocre all around except maybe the story.

If this crap had a third person view I would have pre ordered it. I would never imagine that one day I would be thankful for having migraines while playing first person games.

Incredible video.

This video sold me lego city :S

lol same.

I think looking back at how I felt about Red Dead 2 a few years ago, it seems like in hindsight that is a overaction. I fucking wish my biggest issue with CP2077 was the same as Red Dead's lol I'll take Red Dead 2's control issues over fake footage, cut content, short bus NPC's anyday. This shit makes me realize Ubisoft ain't that bad lol Literally, CP2077 deadass makes Ubisoft games look like GOTY contenders. Its made me a bit more open minded on what I buy as those criticisms on those other titles seem silly compared to the shit show that is this early access mess.

It's a great game, it has an excellent 2 player co-op as well. 80+ hours

you guys are literally selling me on Lego City lol

There really is no defense against this, the people that are rabidly defending are taking it like any criticism against either cdpr or the game as a personal attack against them. Triple A gaming has been a joke for a long time now with the amount of shit devs get away with in charging full price for something thats basically an open beta release. This whole release now fix later shit has been toxic.

It's quite apparent what cdpr did, they had millions tied up in preorders a lot of that money was for the console versions. They damn well knew it was a broken piece of shit so they actively placed embargos on any console footage been released till after release day so by then it would be too late for customers, all that lovely preorder money would be cdpr's and tough shit for anyone who bought on console. If people had actually gotten to see any footage of how it ran before release that preorder money would have been quickly refunded, hence them doing everything to hide it from players with that showreel of cherry picked sizzle. They got enough youtube shills and review site shills to cover this up by all the glowing praise while glossing over the console version, which is why only after non paid players actually got to experience this and the backlash started and review sites started to backpeddle and start pretending that they had all these concerns despite them all gushing over it before hand.

cdpr thought their reputation and player good will would be enough to ride this out while they finished making patches to complete the game. They could have easily have avoided any of this completely by just releasing it and clearly saying it was an open beta release and that people will experience bugs. Instead they tried to pass it off as a finished retail game and got burned, considering after all this time there are still people that go on about how betrayed they were with no mans sky i don't think the good will can be won back by a lot of people any time soon. Look how fast it's fallen off the charts already.

Agreed completely.

The worst thing in all this is not that the corporation lied to its clients about the scope AND quality of their product... Which is bad in and of itself, the worst is the willingness of YouTubers who made their name for being on "our" side, calling bs in the industry, etc. To play ball, give the game some masterpiece like scores, not talking too much about the bugs (or acting like they weren't immersion and/or game breaking)... Guys like youngyea, upper echelon gamer, etc. Aren't deserving of our trust, this game's fair score should be between 5 to 7.

Linus and GN talk about this a lot, there is a very unhealthy and unprofessional relationship between game makers/hardware manufacturers and reviewers on youtube at the moment. People like SkillUp waiting to release their review until they could show bugs and use their own footage showed a lot of integrity.

That was incredible.

Wow, that ending montage was legit amazing.

One of many many mistakes CDPR made with Cyberpunk - not using Bullets by Archive in final credits.

They probably thought it wasn't a good idea to use a song in their ending credits that chants "personal responsibility" 40 times.

That final part when he says luck favours the stupid & should have asked for a refund as he glitches up into the lift shaft had me howling with laughter, it was amazing from start to finish. It may be a long video but well put together on the lies of cdpr.

Motion sickness? Just a heads up if you ever get interested after the patches. I’m almost allergic to first person games but for some unknown reason I haven’t for a second felt sick from playing Cyberpunk. There is a setting in the menu for motion sickness, sounds like bs but it actually works for me, and I’m one of those who had to skip the whole OG Halo trilogy because they put me in bed within minutes.
This is on PC btw, no idea how the console version is.

Agreed completely. Simply looking at the NPCs being basically fucking dumber then bricks, literally breaking the immersion and destroying the combat, it should have NEVER been getting 8,9 or 10s. By the logic, Watchdogs is not only Game Of The Year, that shit is Game Of The Generation if CP2077 is a 9 or 10 with all of those fucking obvious issues.

People kept shitting on this person from PC gamer that called out this game during some preview and yet clearly he was fucking correct on this game having massive issues. People kept leaving those close door previews making it sound like they've never seen a fucking open world game before and kept citing shit that was NORMAL in open worlds, only to have that shit removed, cut and still trying to with a straight face give it a 10.

So respect to the outlets that called this shit out as I hope now looking back many can realize they saw something many didn't want to admit about this train wreck.

The Alanah(ugh) and Yongyea hyped this game like if there was no tomorrow.
Absolutely ZERO critical look at the preview... So they were either too hyped, paid off (I don't think so) or the version they got to play was a vertical slice which is unlikely since it was few hours long
Alanah straight up lied and said its the most interactive and immersive open world ever while sitting on her free cyberpunk chair (which she now switched to a batman chair)
