THIS IS THE ZONE​

The Exclusion Zone has changed dramatically after the second explosion hit the reactor in the year 2006.
Violent mutants, deadly anomalies, warring factions have made the Zone a very tough place to survive. It turned out that the center of the Zone hides the source of incredible power representing a serious threat to the inhabitants of the Zone.


The promises:

• Unique gameplay built on a blend of FPS, horror and immersive sim
• Non-linear story with the variety of paths that lead to one of the several endings
• Benchmark-setting graphics developed using cutting-edge photogrammetric and scanning technologies

Gunplay looks more arcadey but that was to be expected as a mainly console game.
I hope they'll keep a full open world structure now the tech allows it.

yeah I think it's reasonable to expect everything you see is fake.
I think only Death Stranding in recent history looked EXACTLY like the trailers... and the trailers looked too good to be true

Stalker utterly blew my mind at release and this looks to be no different and I'm fucking psyched. Every single Metro game felt like a nerfed console version of stalker with all the boring QTEs in order to keep the attention span of all that new ADHD gamers gen. Back to the roots, day 1

That being said - the action set-pieces looks simplistic, less military simulation oriented. The NPCs are too talkative. The monsters looks like RE refugees. The Stalker atmosphere is not really here.
I fear they are repurposing the Stalker franchise as yet another console AAA cinematic gaming franchise.

It was leaked in the ongoing Epic/Apple court case that it's a three month exclusive so it would make sense. It's best not to limit yourpotential customers just for the financial benefits you'd get from such a short lock in.

More open worldish like the Volga in Metro Exodus and you can upgrade player stats with artifacts you find around anomalies of which there a lot of in the world. Also factions to join.

It looks incredible. The atmosphere is exactly what I dreamed a stalker sequel to be like. I just hope the gunplay/sandbox is faithful. I dont want it to feel like metro.
