You generally can't do that anymore as uploading images to websites generally replaces their metadata.

Metadata could've been altered by imgur or wherever he uploaded that.

You're saying the Blog post got them all this attention and got noteworthy people like Geoff interested etc.. yet in the same breath saying getting a blog post is no big deal. That's the logical inconsistency.

It clearly is a big deal. And we've seen demonstrable proof of the level of exposure a blog post can do. 99.9% of indie devs would kill for a PS blog post.

Can you cite just ONE other example of an indie dev with as equally low skill/achievement and notoriety as BlueBox games getting a PS Blog post and this unheard of app? Ffs even Geoff said it was strange and unheard of. That's not even factoring other devs that have said the same

The only reason Konami even knows who he is is because people started bombarding them with questions about a new Silent Hill he is making. He was told to make it very clear that he isn't associated with Konami or Silent Hill.

I guess with Elden Ring and Starfield revealed, gamers have to find something else to drive themselves nuts over.

I like those that day the name is Survival. Matches the thread title anyway. I don't believe in Silent Hill, even though the setting of the teaser seems to fit.

It doesn't seem like something you tease in this manner.

I arrived slightly late. I immediately assumed it was a bunch of crazies holding out hope for something hopeless. Then I started to think that some of the suggestions weren't so outlandish, eventhough Silent Hill seemed like a longshot. But by the last sentence, I'm already wading towards the deep end. From the outset, something felt really off.

After that post, I started to dig around myself, and found myself down the rabbit hole pretty quickly. Things exploded after that, and now here we are. I'm fully entrenched. The other shoe drops on Friday.

Kojima implied it's something vastly different to his previous projects - so that would fit into description of what's Grubb teasing - something multiplayer only or using power of cloud or whatever. On the other hand, would he really tease Xbox or Xcloud exclusive game while revealing PS5 exclusive Death Stranding DC? Not that it's forbidden but kinda looks bad from bussiness point of view. So that makes me think that if the Xbox project is real, it's not the only one in the making.

If you download the image from imgur.com, that Geoff linked to on Restera.

So it's the metadata that shows up, for a file that we know is modified by imgur.com, because they modify exif/other metadata (this isn't EXIF data.)

I'd still like to know who was sent Geoff's file directly, and where you have evidence of that?

And for the record, this does make me a little suspicious of Geoff. But I'm working on testing some things with imgur.com.
