Keep mainline Halo with MC. I wouldn't mind spinoffs here and there like a Forward Unto Dawn or Reach though.

343 needs to ditch Halo and make something else. Halo ended with Reach and Destiny is the spiritual successor.

Wrong. You can’t make a Mario game without Mario. Halo isn’t Hallo without Master Chief. He’s an iconic character in an iconic universe. What 343 needs to do is kill team Osiris.
Like the above post, spin offs are always great . I’d love to see another game like REACH. It didn’t feature MC but was still very much Halo.

Bungie made two incredible spin-offs while still making great Halo games; Reach and ODST are awesome. 343's Halos aren't.

343 isn't the problem, it's Halo fans. Chasing after nostalgia is a fools errand. I'm sure Halo Infinite will be a good game, but as a fan of Halo lore, other stories in the universe need to be explored in games. The success of Halo ODST proves this.
Halo 5 should have been two separate games.

Except it isn't, MC is Halo. Nobody cares about the extended universe considering 343i has never made a good Halo game. That can't even get that right, so who cares about the EU?
IMO Master Chief Needs to cut 343i, and focus on himself. 343i killed Halo. I'm looking forward to seeing how crap Infinite turns out too

No, they tried that already with Halo 5 and created one of the biggest nobodies in gaming. They need to put a good Master Chief campaign first before they get another chance.

I onestly don't give a damn about master chief, people saying what a great character he is always sounded like low key trolling or self-depracating humor to me, he is stoic...and that's it, even his look\armour is pretty generic.
I guess the books make him more interesting but like 99% of halo players, nobody gives a fuck about the books.

As much as I loved both those games, even though I knew it wasn’t happening, I kept secretly hoping the Chief made a theatrical appearance.
Also, Bungie made both those games. Loved the both, especially REACH.

Well its possible, MGS 2 shows you didn't need to be Solid Snake for it to be as good a game as MGS1, but then Raiden was more a stand-in for the player than an actual character in the universe so that example is a bit unfair.
I don't really care anymore, to be honest, its been 10+ years since there was a good Halo SP campaign. I await Halo: Infinites release with mild anticipation, but prepared for big disappointment after the reveal.
Forget all the obvious problems in the reveal, some more minor things concerned me more, like that the physics looked worse than Halo:CE, the warthog just hangs in the air and sinks down linearly after the jump, it was so bad to look at, that was when I really started to worry during the reveal trailer.

Did you forget about Halo 5? I beat the game on Legendary and right now I don’t remember even the name of the main character, whereas I still remember all other campaigns.

Give Master Chief a proper name and a face. Make him an actual character. Then you can have a mainline series starring the Chief, and simultaneously explore new stories with other characters.
MC is pretty iconic, so I can see many not being interested in the series without him. They just need to re-write and/or reconn his current story arc. 343i fucked up with Halo 4 onwards.

Halo can exist and there are already enough employees to support a trio of Halo games.
1) Continue making FPS Halo games to keep Halo fans happy.
2) The Halo Universe is begging for an RPG.
3) I always thought that a Hack and Slash game starring our favorite Elite soldier the Arbiter could be Amazing. Think Ninja Gaiden in the Halo universe where you fight all types of Covenant troops, Flood monsters and even pesky humans. Using your plasma sword, sticky grenades, camouflage invisibility all using exaggerated Ninja moves and strength.

To everybody saying "No". Do you forget ODST is probably the third best Halo SP game and it has not Master Chief?
I don't agree with killing Master Chief, but I would welcome new Halo games focused on different characters; they could be 1st person or 3rd person, but still action games.
It's a Sunday, and as a Halo fan our only options are to play Halo 5 or continue shitposting.

Chief isn't the problem, it's 343i, that's like killing off Mario, Samus or Link for no reason. MC is Halo. 343i haven't made the perfect Halo game, hopefully Infinite fixes that

nah. they tried cut back on MC in Halo 5 and look how that turned out. a bunch of angry fanboys threw a shit fit and convinced 343 to reboot the series basically. I quite enjoyed Halo 5 for what it is but that doesn't mean i agreed with it having less MC and making Cortana the big bad.

Ive played the Halo games but can you explain what makes him a good or interesting character?
For me, the Master Chief arc was done with the first three games. Then 343i wanted to expand the lore with stories from the books, but imho it wasn't a great idea.
The game is called Halo, not MC. At some point MC should cope with his life, retire and grow flowers before the story jump the shark and turn in a bad Sonic-like fanfiction.
