Strange Phenomenon Taking Place Late At Night

An unexplainable phenomenon has been taking place late at night for about a month now and I've tried to find the reason for this happening the way it does...but I honestly don't think it could be anything other than the paranormal

There's this shadow, maybe the size of a very small bird (think a decent sized hummingbird maybe) swiftly passes or flies by the right side of me just enough for me to catch glimpse and react. Every single time I'm fairly startled and caught off guard because it's traveling quickly about three feet and to the right of me. The first few times maybe first three to five times it's happened, I thought it was a bug. A fast moving dark moth maybe moving in the night when only I'm here at the desk working on some things. But I quickly realized that this 'thing' has the same exact movement patterns. It seems to come either from this green plant in the corner of the room hanging from a hook on the ceiling to the right of the table and laptop I use. And last night, it seemed to have come from the kitchen. It travels about idk maybe almost two feet from the ground, the height of the seats of the chairs or possibly a bit higher, every time. It goes, seemingly, under the table, every time. I've checked to see if I can find anything probably close to a dozen times now. It's probably happened maybe a dozen times or more by now

I've ruled out moonlight. I don't think it's anything living, because I would have found it by now or detected something; it never makes a sound when it passes by it's merely a shadow I can just barely catch a glimpse of as it quickly enters my peripheral and then by the time it reaches the chairs and table I can no longer follow it even if it does continue on towards the left side of the room. I suspect it has taken refuge under the table every single time because that's where I last can see it and it's just instinct as well, but once I check, absolutely nothing. Every time

I know my mind isn't playing tricks on me. This has happened way too many times. And the strange thing is that the pattern is consistent in its movement. The time in which this phenomenon takes place isn't consistent. The shadow passed by at like 11:45 PM Pacific Time just earlier. I'm typically up late many days of the week and I've seen this thing take its course a couple to a few times in one night. Every time it's fairly startling, mainly because I catch it in my peripheral and am thinking wtf is this thing every time. It's instinct to think it was a bug at first, then I figured, maybe a moth or bird next, but now it is clear that this is something I cannot explain

Thinking about recording the area tmrw with my phone to see if the camera will pick up anything that might provide some answers. Trippy as fuck. It's not enough to frighten much, but I'm extremely curious of what this small shadowy presence might be

I thought I've seen things in front of me before late at night, and just thought I was a bit tired or I was merely a tad paranoid but now I think it could be this same dark shadowy thing. For what its worth, thought I'd share here and get some opinions, thoughts, maybe someone has had similar experiences or knows someone who has? Or has read about anything like this before. It's bizarre, and kind of unsettling, but as far as I can tell nothing wrong or malevolent about any part of this, at least not yet. Yeah, that about sums it up

Yup, it is pretty spooky. At first I was just kind of like of fuck there must be a bug that knows to only come out late at night to ensure its survival and it goes under the table to (do something related to surviving) maybe eat or drink or just simply visit. Then after so many times of not seeing anything at all underneath the table, I began thinking oh this must be a small a little moth or bird. But then I was like that's dumb as fuck neither of those two creatures are going to behave in the exact same way every time, at night, without making a sound, without a trace of anything really other than offsetting my peripheral vision

A mouse, a shadow cast from a car moving outside, or one of those things from Critters.
That's a possibility. The blinds of the window to the left don't omit 100% of the light and the porch light is kept on often at night if not most of the time during the night. There are to the right, three windows in the kitchen, and a door with a see through window facing the chair. But I would think that the placement of the cars parked outside, as well as the difference in cars height and their speed while rolling down the street would change some things even if only a little bit... As far as I can tell, this moving shadow-like thing has gone towards the same exact spot until I can no longer trace its movement, as it's pretty swift. Going to record for a few hours this weekend. Maybe not tmrw, but at least once during this weekend so I'll either see something peculiar or I wont while reviewing

Cars lights make weird things.

I live in a 7th floor and don’t know why but I can see car lights in one of my walls.

Pretty freaky the first time I saw.

Doesn't it sounds like eye floater? Especially if it's starts peripheral vision and moves as you move your eyes, etc. I agree that sounds scary, because if it looks like a shadow, that couldn't really be a good thing...

there will be a rational explaination i'm sure.

i had a similar experience for a while and it freaked me out first time it happened. it was like a small shadow that out of the corner of my eye would dart across my room. this happened over the course of months. every single time it would come from the same part of my room (where my desk is) and go to the other corner of the room. same path every time.

turns out it was just car headlights shining against my blinds. my room is about 50ft above the road and probably triple that away from the road.

In the earliest prose stories in Britain in the Mabinogi, the Adar Rhiannon; "birds of Rhiannon", are specifically three magical birds, whose song can "wake the dead and lull the living to sleep". They also have a non-rational effect on space as they can be remote but seem very near.

16:09 every day and not even joking, probably some good internal clock and synchronizing every day at same time.

And yes I am also programmer

it's something physically going on in your vision. Go to an eye doctor and explain it to them.

I've been getting weird visual shit like that since I was a kid, including floaters, random lights flickering, migraine headaches with aura, abnormal photosensitivity etc.

High five. I have all of that, started 5 years ago or so (or maybe that's just when I started noticing it). I've done all the eye tests and even a brain scan (MRI I think, I was lying with my head in a very loud machine for like half an hour). Nothing found except that I needed glasses.

This shit must have a scientific explanation tho...

Internal bio clock?! Like when you get up 1 sec before the alarm sound start in the morning?!
