Not looking that good. A lot of animations and sound effects seem like they were directly ripped from Bloodborne. Boss design was cool though. Black Myth Wukong will probably be the only Chinese game to actually look out for.

The sound and riposte is EXACTLY like Bloodborne. I swear to God the Chinese can't make anything interesting or creative on their own, only rip off others and then pretend that they are good. Fuck this game.
Give them time. Japanese did the same in the beginning with tech. Chinese have proper culture to base their games on so all we can gain is rich games in the long run. And we already have a lot of superficial gimme your time, lemme scrub your brain type of games.

Ehhh... I get what your saying but I was more speaking in broad terms man. Not specifically Chinese games. Just saying in general the Chinese nation sucks at being creative, I am not talking about their history or anything like that.

Just look at how they rip every product off in every aspect of life.

This one looks fun, hoping the animations are early days. I like the look of the MC. We need more female protagonists that are feminine but not completely 100% weeb.

do not tempt fate do not contrain Wonder Woman's thighs do not do not
That thigh gap.
She aint no Wonder Woman thats for sure.
Was alot less exciting than I was expecting from all the rumors that were going around.

Maybe I just need to see more of it.
Will wait patiently.

He gets that.
What hes saying is "developing" nations usually learn by copying and once they are proficient enough they start making their own stuff.
Effectively the Chinese according to him are going through the post war Japan era where Japanese were basically making American copycat products.
Years later Japanese products are respected more than the American products.
SO while China is copycat right now....maybe in future they will be the ones bringing innovation and high quality products.
WitchHunter WitchHunter Did I get that about right?

Other developing nations did the same in the beginning. By the looks of it you never been to China my pedigree chum. There are no creative issues there.

Read this quickly as "Wutang" and got semi excited, lmao.

I mean, they're not hiding their inspirations, haha. Good lord, is their gain too high? Some of those sounds sound like they're NOT supposed to sound blown out, wtf, lmaoooo.

Another Souls game. Some sound effects seem like they were ripped from Bloodborne. 12:03 in the video is a key offender. Overall the game doesn't do anything different with the genre.

Who knew the Chinese would be so good at making video games?

The main character is female yet it's less effeminate than that homo erotic Japanese anime garbage.

It looks competent, but also derivative as fuck. I don't see the point in cloning "Souls" to this extent. It's a hilarious amount of carbon copying.

Why not make it a bit more original instead of making a direct clone? I'll never understand pouring so much effort into something so unoriginal.

I cry about Xbox and hate PlayStation.
except wukong, all these Chinese games looks the same.

My issue with all these "east asian" theme games,is that the female look nothing alike like an asian female.

Bring in these chinese games. I would have loved this to be a straight DMC or Bayonetta clone instead of souls like. Honestly the genre is getting a bit long in the tooth with so many Souls likes. Just port Bloodborne to PC and call it a day. Themysia looks cool though.

Boy that certainly was heavily "inspired" by Bloodborne/souls, but it looks good and enough new stuff was added and changed that it's believable as its own game. The MC's face not moving most of the time give her a doll like feel, but they have time to iron that out. Looks great.

Looks decent. Animation needs a lot of work. I'm seeing lots of hiccups in the performance too, need to iron that out as well. Overall it plays very plain. This is a next-gen soulslike, I'd need to see more and how it progresses, not impressed. But I can only imagine a From Software game in a true next-gen engine, with their amazing artstyle and world designs as well as awesome gameplay.

It really sucks cause on one hand I'm like, "It's cool to see China make some really solid looking games!" Even though they're blatantly inspired by other titles.

But then I think about all of the blatant rip-offs that exist in the mobile world that are done by Chinese companies, and I don't want that.

Expecting some smashing titles such as...

"Goddess of Battle"
"Bright Spirts"
"The Last Of Them"
"Fortday"

And so on.

All joking aside, I really hope that more unique ideas and innovation come out of everything. Some of these devs are putting out titles that look better (visually and gameplay-wise) than AAA ones.

I'll look forward to it, but man 2024 is a ways off. Wonder if I'll even remember it. Hopefully this new gen has found its stride by then. I like the protagonist.

You are correct I never been to China and the only thing I enjoy from China is the Chinese food here in USA.

I live in Miami and all I see is a bunch of hot spanish chicks walking with their fake ass Gucci, Louis Vitton and Chanel purses made from China because in reality a lot of people here like to show off and the Chinese do a damn good job off making these fakes almost 1 to 1 compared to original thing and it makes me fucking sick to my stomach.

A lot of people give them shit for '' ripping off '' and yeah there are REALLY obvious cases where there's just asset flips and actually copy pasted stuff that is completely shameless.
But I mean lets not pretend like Western devs aren't '' inspired '' by both each other and Eastern devs.

Same with the artstyle it's just Eastern, but no one reacts when we're bombarded with games that look European inspired ( knights, vikings, cowboys, generic medieval settings etc ).
It's not exactly like we haven't gotten A LOT of games heavily inspired by the Souls games too from the West.
Remember how hype people were for Mortal Shell?

Edit: Yes cowboys were American I just threw them in there lol.

Indeed there are not creative issues with Chinese people, but they don't have the same concept of plagiarism and being able to imitate something is considered an art in itself.

Basically, Dark Souls/Bloodborne set in the Ming Dynasty with a hot ass protagonist. Got it.

Even the back stab and footstep sounds are CLEARLY from the Souls games.

Reminds me more of Nioh…

The running also reminds me of Bethesda’s shit 3rd person view in their games.

The character looks like she’s running in place or like on a treadmill or something. It doesn’t look like she’s making contact with the ground.

Fix that shit and maybe we’ll talk.
