Like buses, you wait ages for a third-person arcade hack and slash starring a sexy female badass to come along and then two come at once...

There are a lot of factors at play in terms of release, locality, name recognition, and much more, but now we've seen the trailers, which of the two games do you think will be more successful? Which would you be more interested to play?

Make your prediction and cast your vote!

I think the newcomer vs existing IP makes it an interesting discussion point.

I also think the Korean factor of Project Eve could potentially come into play and blindside a few people. I don't know a huge amount about the Korean gaming market but I do know that when a game goes big there it goes REALLY BIG.

Hmm... I think that the one that can be played at PS4/5 and PC will sell more. I might be wrong. But Bayo being a exclusive to Switch might hurt it sales wise.

But Bayo might be a better game. But I have to say it. Bayonetta looks really strange when it comes character design (mostly outfits).

Why are we even talking about Project Eve? We know nothing about it. It could be a hit that spawns a franchise with the same renown and sales of Bayonetta or it might be a game that we all forget in a week.

I feel like gamers are so depraved of eye candy nowadays. Just put a hot girl in your game and automatically it's something Gamers are keeping their eye on and already speculating how it would do against titans like bayonetta.

Obviously Bayonetta but we definitely need more nudes in games so I'm supporting Eve over the other one just for the curves.

I am pretty sure anyone complaining about 2B were never going to buy the game anyway.

I'm not talking about the complaining. I'm talking about all the gamers(guys) on Neogaf and youtube talking about how sexy 2B looked(I was one of them). Were you here when Automata was revealed? I'm seeing the same thing with Eve and I'm telling you if the action is quality combined with the attractive character will absolutely translate to sales. High sales. In Sony's blog post they are already talking about how she will have multiple costumes you can equip.

Nah, the game has to be good too. Eyecandy games are not uncommon in Asia, you need good gameplay to push it over the line. i wish them luck with this new IP.

I don't think there's an audience left on Playstation for spectacular action games featuring attractive women so I doubt Project Eve will sell even a million, PC will rescue it from bombing though.
I understand where you are coming from, but didn’t Neir Automata, Witcher 3, FF7: Remake, MGS5, Cyberpunk 2077, Tekken 7, RE3: Remake and Neir Replicant to name a few sell really well on PlayStation? Call me crazy, but I actually think Project Eve will sell better on PlayStation.

I’m expecting Bayonetta 3 to sell better due to it having an established fan base already despite it only being on Switch, but isn’t Project Eve on more platforms? Could be close though.

5 mil for Bayo 3? Didn't Boyo 2 sales completely tank and Bayo is still not a core IP for Ninty, so.....
True. But Switch attachment rate has big dick energy. The Wii U had such laughably small little penis energy that it’s not even a comparison.

Bayonetta, obviously. Established IP, popular character, larger installed base, and likely the better game.

Project EVE looks like a knock off with a boring protag who looks like an NPC/create-a-character, from an unproven Korean developer. No one should be expecting it to go toe to toe with Platinum Games.

Not fair man, I like to see them both being successful. Even DMCV only sold around 4.5m as of June this year, so at best only 5m for both, with Bayo having more chance of it happening.

I could definitely see both thrive though, hopefully. It's time for people to appreciate hack n slash back.

It depends if Project Eve will turn up as a quality game or not . If it is , I can see it being as successful because peoples want next gen and new shiny title .

The thing about Bayo 3 is , it's locked behind Switch .

I'd be inclined to say Bayonetta 3, but a lot of people seem to inflate how big this IP is. Keep in mind that Sega wasn't willing to fund a sequel themselves, which is how it ended up a Nintendo-exclusive. Bayonetta 2 sold what, 1 million by the looks of it. Not that much. It was on Wii U, granted, but that doesn't automatically mean it's gonna be a huge success on Switch. It could be, but hard to say.

As for Project Eve, I dunno. Maybe. I guess this is the game that'll show who's right. The "get those sexy girls out of my games" crowd, or the "gimme gimme gimme crowd". I hope it does well, it'll be a nice middle finger to the current trends.

Really depends on marketing momentum. Look what happened to Nier Automata. Huge success out of nowhere.

I'm praying for Eve sucess, but you simply can't be good in the head to think Eve has any chance against Bayonetta. Bayonetta is basically a running and well franchine at this point.
But I still want Eve to archieve that mile.

Long term, probably Project Eve just because there's a chance it goes multi platform.
Pretty sure its already been said to be multiplat.
But that doesnt necessarily mean success versus anything the Switch does let alone a known franchise.
It might also fall into the "ohh that game" syndrome where we just forget the game is coming out and/or it launches next to big name titles so the media doesnt cover it enough for us to even remember its out.
