I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of Switch fanboy voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
Looks like Persona.
I'm in.
Calling all green rats to buy this game
bruh, the steam crowd will EAT this shit up
I’m begging the PC players to buy it too, the age of ATLUS multiplats is dawning!
I am wondering about the fact that it says Windows as a 'platform' whether it's referring to the fact that it's on the Microsoft Store and if it is a Play Anywhere title like Yakuza 7.

How do you figure? It looks very much like Tokyo Mirage Sessions on WiiU with minor nudges toward the larger more open scale and scope of SMTV. I doubt it's any real technical demands that stop them from porting it to the Switch (especially seeing performance hardly matters for a turn based game and they obviously didn't care for it in SMTV's case either going by how that came out to accomodate the design they wanted to explore for the main series this time), they just decided to have SMTV on Switch and give other platforms this, at least initially, maybe both will end up elsewhere later. It would be great to have SMTV on other platforms and it'd be super impressive in its own right, if not better looking than Soul Hackers 2, assuming higher lod, shadow quality, etc., at distance, which UE4 settings could accomodate and improved performance to go with these...this looks a lot more demanding.
it's on steam and probably MS store. Phil probably paid for this to come to PC/xbox day oneI am wondering about the fact that it says Windows as a 'platform' whether it's referring to the fact that it's on the Microsoft Store and if it is a Play Anywhere title like Yakuza 7.
Obviously it could just be the OS that they are referring to
Whatever does the job for me the consumer. Sega separately getting a decent chunk of money from MS at the moment for all the GP deals.it's on steam and probably MS store. Phil probably paid for this to come to PC/xbox day one
that chunk might turn into acquisition in long run. i could see it and it would be getting Acti/B TreatmentWhatever does the job for me the consumer. Sega separately getting a decent chunk of money from MS at the moment for all the GP deals.
Looks awesome! Now we just need a western release date!

SMT V was cool, but I don't know if I need another similar game. I'll keep an eye on it. Didn't play the first one.
Ahh, interesting. I'll keep an eye on it. Definitely a huge Okabe fan. Not sure who else he works with, but I'm sure it'll be good. This is a lot closer to Persona 5.
Incidentally, here's another detail. The music is by Monaca, Keiichi Okabe's studio of NieR: Automata fame.
P5 on Xbox is almost as likely as Halo on Playstation. If Atlus could freely port the game to other console, it would have been on Switch 3 years ago. They are too busy port begging Personna 5.
People were saying the same about SMTV because the trailer focused on the high school / social aspects of the game. This looks like a lame Persona spin-off, sorry but the original one looked and felt way more Cyberpunk.
Wish they would have called this something else instead of trying to cash in on the original’s legacy, guess we are finally at the point of Sega meddling with Atlus’s decisions. :/
Sure? Don't think it'll have any social links, calendar system or heavy highschool setting. This is a lot closer to Persona 5 than to SMTV.
It was a Saturn/PS1 game in Japan. Only Western release was 3DS.Hi friends, I'm a lazy mofo. What's Soul Hackers? I imagine there's a first one and I have never heard of it lol

Honestly, it’s looking more like TMS II but with all characters who can summon demons. We don't know that. The setting and battle system definitely look closer to Persona 5.
