The Initiative was started by the studio head of Crystal Dynamics and now has the writer of RDR and the lead producer of God of War working there.
That's actual development experience, not just porting shit.

The team working on KOTOR remake wasn't the same people porting shit either. They brought in a ton of outside developers many who actually used to worked for Bioware.

Aspyr must have greased someone's pocket over at Lucasfilm, because there is no way that a developer like Aspyr, who had never even made a game before, be given a project of this magnitude to begin with. This was doomed to fail from the start. A hell of a lot more people should be fire over the way this deal went down in the first place.

Well now Sony ain't getting it because Aspyr ain't a real developer. That simple.

It's not like Microsoft shows some quality from their studios. Most of them already have no clue what to do. All those early announcements and many reboots, and then their biggest franchise running into the ground.

They are the most incompetent from the big 3 in game development atm.

Both Saber Interactive and Aspyr are owned by Embracer Group. When Embracer bought Aspyr they made them a subsidiary of Saber Interactive, probably because Embracer realized Aspyr couldn't actually produce anything on their own.

Holy shit you need to listen and stop yapping. I am talking about the Saber studio under Saber the publisher.

Just like Bethesda the publisher has Bethesda Game Studios

I'm not sure you know what you're talking about. There's only one Saber Interactive. They made the Evil Dead game, WWZ, etc. They're owned by Embracer and Aspyr is a subsidiary for them.

If you're claiming it's some other Saber, then what games did that other Saber make?

Saber Interactive is a large publisher that have branched out. They have a developer named after them. They are seperate entities

Just like CD Projek is now a seperate entity to their studio

Just like Bethesda Softworks is now a seperate entity to their studio.

Microsoft Game Studios delivered the highest rated games on average last year out of any publisher.

Square's western studios that Sony allegedly encouraged Square Tokyo to fire sale off for a pittance certainly had a team that could handle a quality KOTOR remake.

They passed on some talented devs and a couple of interesting IPs. Sony decisions are sometimes incredibly short-sighted.

Guess they are serious about the project If they felt like firing two directors after demo which the developers themselves thought was decent.

Whatever, as long as the final product will be good.

It's for the best, they had writers for a game that is already written, which tells you everything you need to know about this project. If they want to make a good remake, do a bluepoint remake, port the improvements from kotor 2 into kotor 1, and add the latest graphics.

Still hoping for those black series bastila and malak figures to come out.

And Saber Interactive is an Embracer Group Company, and through Saber Interactive as its wholly owned subsidiary, Embracer acquired Aspyr Media in 2021 to become part of the Saber Studios family.

Embracer owns Saber, and Saber owns Aspyr; Saber also owns Saber, the core development group of Saber still in Saber.

(And no part of the company spells it "Sabre" ... that's a different company.)

Does this clear things up?
