We got the usual COD, Fifa...and new Pokemon games this fall.

So, the only AAA story driven title coming out this fall is God of War Ragnarok?

Unless it is delayed, Sony truly hit the jackpot this black friday / christmas huh.

Callisto Protocol, Gotham Knights. Though the former might get delayed as well. :messenger_pensive:

I don't think it would have had much impact. Remember Sony still would have benefit from thier 30% cut from this game.

The home console holders Q4 is basically CoD, there isn't going to be a major uplift from the annual sports games unless fifa gets inflated by the world Cup.

Thought come hell or high water they were going to get this out in whatever state it was in for Christmas sales season. I guess kudos to them for pulling it back if it wasn’t ready. Also nice they never slapped an actual release date on the title.

Oh crap...another one for 2023I guess.

If they keep doing that they gonna lose tons of money, because of the overabundance of "2023" titles.
Those 2023 titles will get pushed out farther.

The game industry really needs to start embracing releasing through out the year instead of just focusing on the beginning of the year and the Fall season.

The development pipeline is truly fucked up this year.
At least Q1 next year will have Forspoken, this and RE4 remake.

This holiday season is all about God of War, Sony can really profit out of it with the proper stock.

Well technically its not most tech companies Q4, its their Q3.

And you're right, I don't think GOW and Hogwarts have remotely the same audience lol

2023? How about fuck off, sick of devs and publishers constantly fucking LYING about release dates and windows.

They had the fucking gull to announce a 2021 date too initially. Fucking lying bastards

I was going to say Forspoken but just saw it was delayed to January 2023. Suicide Squad is H1 2023 too. Avatar is 2023 too.

So I think there's only GoWR, Gotham Knights and Calisto Protocol left. Even if not direct competition for GoW, I think the other big hits for this Christmas are going to be Pokemon, CoD and FIFA. If Sony manages to ship a big amount of consoles as they expect for the last quarter of 2022 then I'd add HFW to the list because I assume they'll continue bundling it with almost every console sold, like Astro but charging an extra for it.

Guess there will at least be some decent end of the years sales since the plan of almost every publisher for the rest of 2022 is: "Sell our old shit"
