The big 3 of Xbox IPS are Forza, Gears, and Halo. These Ips have been instrumental for Xbox since the beginning (except Forza that replaced Project Gotham) and are the biggest known IPS in Xbox history.
However I feel things changed last gen with the Xbox One releases in these franchises.
I feel like that Halo had fallen behind Forza last generation not just in the amount of players, but the quality of the games and the consistency. The Halo MCC was a mess, and with it having been mostly fixed for awhile now it will be hard, especially for new comers, to really understand how bad it actually got with Halo MCC. then you had the lukewarm reception of Halo 5, and the mixed response of Halo Infinite after it was delayed twice due to incompetence and fan frustration. The hype seems to have died down with Infinite, with player counts mirror the drop we saw with Halo 4.
Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon have been consistent in quality, fan feedback, addressing problems, fun updates, and they have received high sales and active player counts as a result. The games active players lasting years instead of a few months before declining. They also score highly on average can move systems on their own. At one point if it hasn't already happened I expect the Forza to become the top system selling IP for Xbox unless Halo changes direction.
In second, Gears has lost some luster but is still a major franchise. Gears 4 due to a leak is said to have had about 6 million players, Gears 5 did well, and while both aren't that remarkable and follow the traditional Gears formula they are solid games and fans feedback is appreciated.
If there's one thing for certain these 3 franchises definitely ended up going on different paths from where they were on the 360, that's for sure.
