Based on this, Sony have plenty of games in development.
Only thing is having to wait as development cycles are getting very long. Something like 4-6 year development time.

That's a lot!

I'm super excited for Spiderman 2 and whatever Naughty Dog's next big single player game is, other than that I'm not really interested in anything else yet, obviously there's plenty of unannounced games that could be cool but as of now I'll go with the middle option, average hype

Hmmm I don’t know yet. I know they typically deliver great gameplay experiences, but the heavy focus on VR, GAAS and multiplayer concerns me. I’m honestly getting quite tired of open world games in general as well. Also, I would really like to see more FIRST PARTY Japanese game offerings from Sony. We’ll see what they announce eventually. I’m sure they’ll have some really good stuff incoming.

Hm... I'm not too sure these days. Sony is investing heavily in multiplayer/GAAS and VR games. It's great that Sony studios are expanding, but I fear I won't be seeing more AAA single player games from them but actually less.

The fans demanded that sony make multiplayer games, people were getting tired of “walking simulators”

Faction!!!
I think Sony will announce show soon since they just increase PS5 price. Need some good news to sell this expensive hot shit.

Helldivers leak was the biggest sign that a showcase was coming, the price increase just confirmed it. Sony doesn’t really reveal new first party titles in state of plays or non-sony branded shows.

Sony must know they got some heat to show us to make us forget about that price increase. Its liek when they announced GoW and GT7 was cross gen and then released the forbidden west state of play which mind blowing graphics

Is that you?
Nice try. That was a thread about when we'll see 'a true next gen game'. This is about what's next for Sony.

GTAVI isn't a title I'm really looking forward to, I am just pretty confident that it will be what most would consider 'a true next gen game'.

Guerrilla Games is doing a multiplayer game but it's not a new IP? Killzone?

Also whats the difference between a New IP and an Original IP? (bluepoint) is it just a remake ala demon souls?

Not really excited for their multiplayer endeavors unless its on PC.

I want Ghost of Tsushima on PC so I can play it again.

No one knows if the multiplayer Guerrilla game is a new IP or not, all we know is that its been in production since 2019 and its being headed by Simon Larouche

Bluepoint specifically said original content, so theres some speculation that its not actually a new IP but something they are rebooting.

They obviously have tons of projects in the works...It is just that their communication strategy has shifted to where they only announce a few titles when they feel like they need to, as to sustain interest in their machine. We know that their next showing will reveal their 2023 line-up...
The thing is, due to the astronomical demand, and the less than optimal supply, they can afford to hold their cards close to their chest. What I mean is that they could decide not to "post" their digital event this year, in favour of January 2023, for example. It would be frustrating to us, certainly, but from the perspective of Sony, nothing would be lost.

Whatever they have in the works, I just want to see soon. Would like something new, or different, or perhaps changed like how GoW was completely changed. Fresh.
Looking forward to whatever is next.

After Ragnarok, Worverine is my most hyped game. Im also interested in seeing all the new IPs, from the big studios except the multiplayer focused ones.

Really want to see what other titles santa Monica and guerilla are working on. Wasn't guerilla working on some rumoured multiplayer live service?

Honestly, I'm not that much excited. Wolwerine has potential, but I don't care about Wolwerine. I rather prefer 10 times X-men.

If they announce GoT 2, then thats different.

Many of Sony’s 1st party studios have also expanded, so there are multiple games unannounced from a lot them.

They have to be getting ready to unleash it all at some point, so I’m getting genuinely curious.

People say that but with the way the industry currently is, along with sony raising prices of ps5 and increased competition, i think it is vital that they remind people why they should be spending the extra money on ps5 this holiday. God of War is enough for this year but a lot of people will talk themselves into believing its the last thing they’ll have for a while or that they can play it just as well on ps4.

Sony need to come out swinging in their next showcase to show they still have the juice, not only with big single player titles but multiplayer shooters. Show people they aren’t relying on CoD if it ever leaves.

They gotta send a message that cross-gen is all but dead after this year and that people need a 5 if they want to have the best gaming experience from this point on. Theres been a two year grace period and consoles are now becoming more available, time to upgrade for the stragglers

I mean, I liked the first Spiderman enough to look forward to the second game but yeah, that's it.

Naughty Dog went from top tier with the first Uncharted to complete garbage after Uncharted 4 and especially TLOU 2, Horizon 1 was great and 2 was good, but the third game is years away, and I'm good if its *just* more Horizon, and while I like things like Ratchet and Clank, they don't set my ass on fire.

I care for VERY little multiplayer games, and while GAAS games can be good, they don't have a good track record. Don't care about Destiny, don't care about GT, don't care about infamous, and while I haven't tried Ghost of Tsushima, it just looks like a (much better) Ubisoft game, so not exciting.

So yeah, its hard to be excited about Sony right now, especially since after TLOU 1 Remake and GOW 5 releases, the only titles being developed we know of are what, Wolverine and Spiderman 2?

Sony really needed an E3 presentation, or any kind of presentation, because things are not looking great right now.

There's some promising stuff in the pipeline for me as a PS5 gamer, but there's nothing that I'm looking forward to more than possibly playing a remake of an already established highly acclaimed classic that came out 9 years ago!

With Sony I think you're either into cinematic experiences or not, if you are then theres lots to look forward to. Personally I'm into games.
