I don't think there was ever much hope of them adapting the Greek Saga.
It's too over the top, action focused and violent to work as a live action TV show IMO. The Norse saga is a bit more grounded, more story focused and of a style that will attract non gaming audiences too. Probably way cheaper to make too because I bet 90% of the runtime will be characters walking around talking about their feelings and 10% will be actual action scenes.

People fail to comprehend that some folks out there just don't want to play games. They want to watch the story in a passive way, hence the slew of adaptations to carry over games like Fallout/TLoU/ Twisted Metal or God of War to these people. And that's quite a lot of people, even more than gamers that play said games.

There is nothing bad with adaptations, thanks to TLoU s1 i've finallly found some common grounds to talk about videogames and vg stories to my dad (man in his early 60s). He never was a gamer and never wanted to play a game, even for the story. But right now he's enjoying S1 of Fallout, and finally we can talk about things outside of grankids, cars and wifes.
