According to a retailer blog Capcom plans to ship a total of 1 million copies by the end of the year, and more if there's demand.

Suffice to say it looks like they might need more.

I think they deliberately undershipped, partly because of what happened to MHTri on the Wii and partly to make Vita look bad when it comes out on the 17th.

I'm honestly surprised by the 3DS hardware numbers.

People keep posting the 3DS vs DS bar graph to see if the 3DS can top the DS 2005 holiday numbers. As of now, the 3DS is beating those numbers easily. Color me surprised about that.

MH sales are great as well. Pretty stupid of Capcom (or Nintendo?) to undership the game and not have immediate extra shipments ready.
