I'm hoping by my saying so, that would mean the WIi U has alot of other greater features and games that a drawing game would be the least entertaining thing to do on it but still fun

I know what you mean, but this drawing game kept me from playing sm3dl, mk7, Pushmo and Tales of the Abyss and I'm really enjoying all of them and consider them as must haves.

Is this happening to anyone else?

When I favorite a note swapnote creates a duplicate of that note with the favorite icon on it. But the original is still there without the favorite icon. I've noticed this mostly with notes that I created and not when I favorite someone else's note. It doesn't happen every time but rather randomly. Usually I choose to delete the non-favorited one because I don't want too many notes around. But later I get a message telling me I received a reply to a note that no longer exists or one that has been deleted. I feel like these two events are related. Is this a glitch? Anyone else encounter this?

As I said before, I am hoping the Wii-U offers better games and online and social things that drawing on the tablet is one of the least entertaining options it can do. For 3DS which is in dire need of a killer app, this is perfect.

No. I'm actually afraid of not describing accurately how perfect Flipnote is. Just realize that Nintendo has confirmed a sequel is in development for the 3DS and that, when released, your mind will be blown if you like Swap Note.

It's also developed by Nintendo EAD Tokyo. Yeah....

It's basically an animated GIF youtube on the DSi. You make your own animations, can add audio and post them online for everyone to see. It's incredibly un-Nintendo since it's entirely user-generated and user-moderated content, bullshit-free. There's many awesome animations posted.

Might be that the default SD card Nintendo gives you is the cheapest and slowest...hopefully it's a software issue that can be sped up with improvements because opening new messages is PAINFUL and SLOW

Really? Even with the standard default SD card Nintendo issued? I thought it was an SD card manufacturer thing. In a way I'm glad it's just a software thing since I can pretty much predict a new firmware update with SwapNote load time fixes. (The so called “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.")

Oh I thought that it simply downloaded the messages when you started the app. aka it just downloaded the notification that there was a new message and then when you start the app, that's when it actually downloads them. It sure seems that way with how long it takes. If it actually is checking the SD card... yeah that's really an unacceptably long loading time for that and hopefully it will be improved in a future update.
