Prototype 2 will be shown "soon".

Searched Neogaf and Google couldn't find a decent result so mock if already posted.

A very good source of mine was invited to preview Prototype2, also there will be some dudes from Radical Entertainment for interview. Act surprised.

Inb4 Banhammer without source. Sorry but NDA is a bitch

I'd hope so... I want some variety in this one.

Never a good sign to have an "Inb4 Banhammer" in your post though. :D

Haha yeah. I had to remove some revealing info because of NDA but I left that :p

Let's say you will hear about the event veeeeery soon.

Man, I was early to read but wasn't early enough apparently, lol.

I'm excited to see what they've refined from the first game. Hell, it better be optimized on PC too.

Hope they'll improve on the foundation they built with the first one. I liked the idea, but the missions were tedious and boring, so I got bored after I went into that tower
and released that evil little girl

I think I can pass some question/worries to the interviewer-journalist.

What you would ask Radical Entertainment about Prototype2?

I wish I had my NDA on me, I could check the terms. I think the print NDA is up though, so expect to see some mag stuff soon/now.

Seriously the first game was terrible with a terrible premise.
It sold well but no-one liked it.

Clearly you never ran up the side of a building, karate kicked a helicopter and then landed on a civilian using them as a surfboard on the pavement.

It was a fun controlling game with some really bad enemy encounters toward the end of the game. It also needed better/more various mission structures.

Still a lot of fun. IN B4 "BETTER DAN INFAMOUS"

I just want more wall running real fast, jumping real high and fucking shit up while I shoot/slice. Hopefully the sequel has (way) more polish and less overly long broken ass bosses like Greene and the Supreme Hunter.

edit: also a map that checks where you already got an orb. uuuuugh.

The first game had great combat, great mechanics, a lot of interesting powers, and some of the worst mission design and boss fights I've ever had to suffer through. I'd like to think Radical learned their lesson, but the early info on Prototype 2 is not encouraging. They're going with a GTA-esque three island map with the latter two islands locked behind story progress, and fuck that.

As long as the PC version isn't a crappy port I'll be happy. I enjoyed the first game though it did have issues on PC (especially since it seems to think my 2GB 6950 only has 512 MB of VRAM on it.)

Basically this. I want the shoot/slice gameplay from the first with upgraded graphics and a larger city. That's about it, maybe less super lame boss fights.

More stealth mechanics, perhaps, but it doesn't really matter when you can just devour the nearest shmuck, and then fly off to the nearest building, hijack a helicopter, nuke the entire city block and then blend back into the crowd. That last sentence was long, but it sums up everything I loved about the first.

This is just an announcement of an announcement of the game being released some time in the future, isn't it?

Loved the first game. Just give me all the powers at the start so I can just fuck around. I don't need story, I don't need missions, I don't need structure.

I've got a soft spot for Radical's games. Hulk UD was amazing to me, and is probably the third-best superhero game behind the two Arkham titles (fuck web swinging) and I thought Prototype was fun, if... underwhelming.

They're kind of like Obsidian, in that they do certain things better than anyone else, but then kind of shit up everything else. For example, their combat systems are totally amazing, but their mission design flounders with anything other than "fight these guys", and their art sensibilities--if Prototype is any indication--aren't exactly overflowing with fresh ideas and visually arresting designs. I really hope they one day make a game that lets them really capitalize on their strengths and improve their weaknesses but... they're an Activision studio, so...

Someone said something once about that leap from Assassin's Creed 1 to Assassin's Creed 2. That's what I'd like to see.

As someone who loved the first game despite it's faults, I can't wait for this. The Dev Diaries have made me hopeful. They seem to have made some great changes to the combat system etc.

Really liked the 1st game. Never understood why Infamous was so well received in comparison. I thought it was very booooring.

Neither this nor Infamous managed to be half as good as Crackdown or even Crackdown 1.01. Never understood why these games get proper sequels but not one of the best games of the generation :-/

I love how we all are certain that 'soon' means within this year.

After following the development of Diablo 3 for 4 years, it took me a moment to remember that 'Soon' has a different meaning outside of Blizzard.

It retained way too much from Crackdown 1 except for the interesting boss areas.

Yep, that's why I called it 1.01 :-/ Maybe -1 should be a better number, seeing how it was a regression. Still liked it a lot better than both Infamous and especially Prototype, which was bad in every possible way. I can understand why people prefer Infamous but Prototype was just...ugh. A piece of generic committee based nothingness.

Prototype, which was bad in every possible way.

Initially...the ape-shit, crazy chaos was interesting...but an hour into it, there seemed to be a distinct lack of pride shown by the dev team in nearly every aspect of the game. It seemed like they didn't give a fuck about the game. It was sloppy.

I'm not into sloppy games.
