The platinum prizes suck and the Euro Club Nintendo has that SNES Classic Controller for Wii so your arguments are invalid.

Last year's platinum was awful. Recycled buttons from Japanese Club Nintendo reward the year before that (one of two different options there), except they took the nice gold button out and replaced it with a palette-swapped Buzzy Beetle.

The overated SNES controller was a platinum prize...in Japan. Aside from that I disagree. You got the Mario statue for earning 600 coins in 12 months. Plus you have 600 coins to spend.

We have to earn 7000 stars in 24 months and spend the lot (as thats how quickly ours expire, the game slips expire quicker too IIRC). Equating stars to coin is a non-exact art as coins for post play surveys, intend to buy and post play survey change things (both things the European system lacks these days) but worse case scenario is 5 stars=1 coin. Making it 1400 coins.

So we spend over twice as much as you had to earn...but whatever, its fine for registering two 3DS games in a certain time frame (if you already had the games registered they don't count) we get to enter a contest with rather minuscule chances of winning. Grass is greener?

There is 6000 total right? 3000 for Europe and 3000 for Japan. Still pretty rare. I don't plan to open mine anyway.
