Just saw American Dad, pretty good episode. Steve is really great character, love his dancing and singing :D Straight A's daddy-o. Also writers really have no idea what they are going to do with Hayley and Klaus.
American Dad has been the AD highlight for me for awhile. It rarely disappoints.

I always thought The Simpsons was tracking pretty close to Family Guy in ratings, if not the amongst the top bracket. Where does it fall amongst FG, AD, BB, and ND?
Behind Family Guy. Ahead of everything else.

The hole the Simpsons would leave on the Fox Block would be a critical blow for sure, I can't imagine what they would replace it with.

I thought the Simpsons was still its usual bad self.

Also Homer going into his son's room at night to strangle him is creepy. Yes, even though it's a cartoon and compared to the other times he's strangled him.

I hate the simpsons now, like YES we get it the whole world hates the simpsons, yes homer hates bart.

but the whole phone answering machine, is that just lazy work? how can you leave a message when you aren't connected to the phone line?

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
An
Inception
parody? How timely!

*sighs* Hey writers? Don't waste time making movie parodies, you're ALWAYS going to be late! *points to The D'oh-cial Network*
You guys even made fun of this in one episode, I would think you were self-aware enough to know movie parodies don't work. But nooo you still had to do it.

Also, an Avatar parody in the Halloween special? Just... why?

Certain Simpsons parodies have not worked out well at all. The Social Network parody was unredeemable trash. There are quite a number of writers on that staff that have no clue how to parody anything.

Thankfully, the tandem of Ian Maxtone-Graham and Billy Kimball (credited for this weekend's episode) do. In fact, it's their specialty. Together they have crafted first-rate parodies of both 24 (Season 18's 24 Minutes) and The DaVinci Code (Season 20's Gone Maggie Gone). There was also a fine homage to Catch Me if You Can put together for Season 15's Catch 'Em If You Can.

They've also won both an Emmy and an Annie for writing one of the best post-classic era format bender episodes in The Seemingly Never-Ending Story... an episode which pulled off the story within a story within a story angle before Inception back in 2006.

If anything, these two guys in particular should stick to writing parodies because when they try to craft an original episode we wind up with crap like eyeballs popping out of heads (The Scorpion's Tale), the Simpson family having black ancestors (The Color Yellow) and Bart & Lisa squabbling like an old married couple (Dangeous Curves).

But this weekend's Inception parody I'm legitimately excited for. In fact, click on this link to see a trailer. They've even put in a dream layer where the family is animated like they were back in the Ullman shorts from the late 1980s.

Bob's Burger! How many episodes does this season have? Is it full 22 episodes or less? God, I hope it's 22. edit. It's 22 episodes.

Trailer of the Simpsons episode did nothing for me and it looks horrible but UberTag did point out the writers who have written better episodes of the new Simpsons. So I will give it a shot. I still think they should just stop making these movie tie-in episodes.

Haven't they done a gimmick like this on Family Guy a few times now? Wasn't there an episode where they went back to the pilot episode or something?

this episode sucked

and yes and no, Family guy did a episode kinda to celebrate IMO family guy, Simpson, has just run out of ideas and is using anything popular now.

I saw the Simpsons episode and was shocked to see Bart's twister mouth(albeit it wasn't as fluid as it used to be, given the stiff animation). Haven't seen that on the show since like season 5, it was always my favorite quirk in the show.

Fuck Da Haterz. Simpsons was great tonight.

The last few episodes havn't been bad, but at the same time they havn't been good either. They really miss substance and structure at times and many of the jokes are just patched in "lol things are like this these days" instead of using what is in the world they built.

That and they ruined the Grandma Simpson story.

Just saw American Dad. They don't do many episodes where the entire family are focused on each other for the whole episode. I liked the spotlight being on Klaus though.

Great episode line up all around. The Simpsons was OK, it had the Portal reference which was cool, but it was still the weakest of the line up.

Barry on FG was a surprise, and the Queen joke had me laughing quite a bit, especially the lottery ticket, lol

No comments on AD really, solid episode but nothing stands out.

Bob's was another one where it was a solid episode, the only thing that really stood out though was the song at the end by Cindi Lauper, lol

Lastly, Cleveland, Mike Judge cameo = awesome (And Seth Green seemed to have voiced a character in BOTH Cleveland AND AD)

Bob's Burgers was pretty awesome.

"If you were making a treasure map, what would you make it look like?"

"a butt"

Got a pretty hearty chuckle out of me.

I caught up on the last two Simpsons episodes. I'm surprised by how good they were, as most PABF episodes have been utter shit :/
Oh and Bob's Burgers episode was fantastic! Glad to have it back.

B!TCH

how are you, B!TCH? How is your day going, B!ITCH?
Bob's Burgers is a good show. A nice change from Seth McFarlane's repetitive formula.

Wow.. I probably won't even watch them this week. American Dad has been so downhill this season (except the hot tub episode of course) and the simpsons has become unwatchable.
