Halo |OT2| Hyper-Athletic Speed And Mass And Weight and Power

Maybe it was Parallel-universe Hyper but I think you posted another gif with cats. Now it is gone.

Briefly, from the thread I'd linked. But I concluded it was overkill; to busy for the page. I also linked rather than quoted the giant hairy testicle blamite lovingly blessed us with.

OK, stop. Not only is that extremely disrespectful,

Great article.

This caption -- "Consumers and critics have had enough of what Call of Duty has to offer." -- is in direct opposition to what the image above it showed. When there are three CoD games on the Top 10 Activity list and the most recent game is nestling an 88 Metascore, it's hard to follow that sentiment. I suspect the next Call of Duty by Treyarch will bring people back, and then Infinity Ward will reset the bar with an entirely new FPS series the year after that.

I am so very sorry about that. I previewed the post and it showed the image, then I left class and... it didn't. I will definitely re-host all my images in the future. Sorry. :(

So, uh, Halo... yeah.

Excited for PAX. Unfortunately I don't think I'll make it to the Reach tournament. :(

Ellis and Frankie both dropped hints in this thread. Jess has already said we aren't getting a megaton in the bulletin. I know everyone is thinking magazine covers, but could there be some tricksy bit of marketing/info-dumping at Pax East?

Microsoft has a big booth. Begin rampant speculation!

Yeah man. You really dropped the ball on that one.

Let's start a Halo 4 chant!

HALO 4!

HALO 4!

HALO 4!

HALO 4!

....... I'm the only one? Well shit.

EDIT: Also, I just had a brilliant revelation to sprint's possible mechanics: Base movement speed is still Halo 2 levels, but when you start sprinting initially you start off at approximately the same speed ( a little faster). Your speed then quickly ramps up exponentially after that! This would discourage sprinting away from battles at the last second and would make you feel even more like a super soldier. You wouldn't be able to sprint insanely fast though, so sprint-melees wouldn't be as rampant.

This will do.

You're not the only one that likes this idea. It's been posted here a few times before. I'm guessing 343 is aware of the sprint issues in Reach and they are likely addressing them somehow in Halo 4. I really like the changes you posted.

Another side of this to consider is that if kill times are reduced then the risk of attempting to sprint away becomes higher. If the TU was a taste of what 343 has planned for the franchise's MP then I'm guessing in general the speed of combat will be quicker all around.

Nope. Jess confirmed that there will be no official 343 presence at PAX East. I'm inclined to trust her on that.
Does that kill the possibility of Halo 4 info at Pax? Probably...but they did say they were going to do some new marketing type things this time.

For a moment it was what I thought you meant to post; you said "I got a rock" and I thought that was a euphemism for the big testicle. Then I read the caption.

Random theory on the bulletin news/non-news: The bulletin will basically point us to the media coverage flowing forth from the interwebz, and promise clarifications/follow-ups next week.

Still debating whether I should skip my class to go to the Rooster Teeth panel.

Go to class, you'll laugh more there.

Sorry about bailing earlier guys, my wife came home mid game, which probably led to them capping the 2nd flag because I took my headset off. I did snipe the guy that had the flag, but died right after. :(

So out of the entire article you nitpick the caption on an image?

The story says that the Call of Duty series is immensely popular and that it has kept the core gameplay intact across games. The article's point (paraphrasing) was that Halo has changed the formula dramatically across games and has consequently suffered by losing market share and mindshare.

That's what I figured. Although I think it's kind of silly that a magazine will have more Halo 4 coverage than a gaming convention...
and that PAX Prime 2011 will have had more Halo 4 news than PAX East 2012.
(Always willing to be proven wrong, of course.)

Still, it will be nice to discuss the magazine news at PAX with other Halo fans... (or whatever news gets released, if not via magazine)

High-fives with Hypertrooper are in order.

I feel bad I never got a clip together but with rotations and having to move I just never had time.

Well let me know if you manage to get a clip within the next few weeks; I'll probably still have room in the montage. Capturing and editing this beast is going to take a while, especially with the amount of travel I have coming up.
