They're completely different in tone. The first season tries to incorporate in more elements than just the "comedy" and the second season is more...self aware I guess. There's only like two jokes in the series and the second one copies all of them so you're probably better off just starting at the beginning.

Have had this on my list for a little bit, decided no time better than the present.
The narration interruption made me chuckle. The introduction visuals were standard fare.
Something about the facial shadowing makes the "big wigs" in this scene more..."big." Not sure how to explain it, but it works. They could use a less terrible looking office, however.
So, the male lead is scared shitless. But "Duke" (big black man) takes him out for a cig. How thoughtful. The facial expression on Okajima's face was nicely done here. Guy just doesn't give a fuck and is tired.
Revy seems to have a nice, ball-busting attitude. Sure knows how to challenge a guy to a drink.

bar fight was neat. However, some of the action looked a bit stiff. For example, instead of active jumping animation. Revy would acrobatically, "slide" through the air. Later on, at the submarinexheli battle, I had good fun with Rock's reactions to the situation.

Since AnimeGaf told me those prices are acceptable, I have bought a couple of dvds (Toradora, A-Channel and Working) and blurays (Infinite Stratos and H.O.T.D). I know I want to buy Oriemo and Anohana also when preorders are out for those.

Is Phi Brain no longer going to be simulcasted through Crunchyroll? I guess The Anime Network still has it though.
I also have finished the second Haruhi Suzumiya light novel, The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya. Apparently Manga-gaf believes discussing this series in this thread would make more sense because the series became famous for its anime and Anime-gaf is more likely to know what I am talking about.

Black Lagoon is good stuff. You haven't even been introduced to Balalaika (aka the best woman in all of anime) yet.
Sony money machine. Production values are usually pretty good, but they have no internal creative culture. Instead they attract established teams (director/writer/character design/animators/etc) to work at the studio for the duration of a production.

I don't think anyone actually buys those. It's just an out-of-print product, so third party sellers jack up the prices for suckers. Happens with pretty much anything. Aniplex is doing a re-release later this year.
