at least you're getting a good amount of money
right?

Not a huge amount. For down here its about average. Cost of living is pretty low though, so I can afford to enjoy the money too.

Hire me as your live-in butler. I don't take up much space and I love cajun food.

This would be the coolest thing ever. animebros 4 lyfe.

Thanks for torturing coddling me all these months AnimeGaf.

CONGRATURATIONS!

What are the qualifications needed?

Being a dispatcher or having experience with it for several years prior.
A degree is nice but I dont think they care much about that because a degree wont help you manage the terminals lol.
Being able to solve multiple problems quickly and efficiently is the main thing I think they look for. Night Dispatching isnt for everyone.

Tenchi Muyo GXP 1

What the hell is going on? Why is there a kid who looks exactly like Tenchi and lives in the same town but isn't related to him? Why is he pretending to ride a broken bike? Why is the only familiar character we see the back of Ryoko's head? What does the X in GXP stand for? Why is this called Tenchi Muyo if he isn't the main character and as far as I can tell isn't even in it?

GXP is a really strange series.
Its best to skip it, although it can be pretty funny sometimes.
I haven't seen it in forever though.

Yup, though the sales rankings don't seem to indicate which volume it was. Though since the overall series seems to be known as 〈古典部〉シリーズ and only the first volume is actually called 氷菓 (Hyouka), it's probably referring to that. I guess.

Someone with superior knowledge of the series can correct me if I'm off base, which I probably am.

I just did some googling, and it appears that the anime is taking the name of the first novel in the Classic Literature Club series as the TV anime series name. Hyouka itself is indeed only the first novel. So in a sense it's similar to how the HBO series Game of Thrones is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, but the TV series uses Game of Thrones as the name of the entire series.

Ah My Goddess TV S2 07
Enter! Goddess number 4!
We get Peorth introduced in this episode and all her rose storm glory. I like that even Keiichi is getting tired of more goddesses entering his life at this point and the whacky tortures Perorth comes up with to try and please Keiichi.

Jorgunmand 2

The music never gets old nor the one during the previews. Its quite catchy. Im curious what the overall plot and antagonist will be as it cant just be go from locale to locale, though that would be fun. Favorite part was when
Jonah laughed, caught me off guard and was pretty cool, and funny with the ensuing conversation

Is Hyouka just a single novel?

Isn't Hyouka a young adult novel rather than a light novel?

I don't think there's any difference between the two things you just said, since young adult is a demographic while light novels are a sort of publishing label. But it is accurate to say that Hyouka is not a light novel, and is instead printed under the proper paperback Kadokawa label, instead of their various light novel labels like Sneaker, Ruby, etc.

It's published by Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko, which is the same imprint that published the Haruhi Suzumiya novels.

No apparently it's not.

You guys better figure this out before it's time for me to post the thread, I don't want to get something like that wrong because I trusted one of you guys.

Ah. I was going by ANN, but I should have known better than to rely on them.

I just did further research on this, and I have come up with the actual answer. When Hyouka was first printed, it was under Sneaker, as was the second novel in the series. By the third novel, it shifted to Kadokawa Bunko instead, and the entire series has since been categorized under Kadokawa Bunko, including more recent reprints of Hyouka itself.

So where we have the answer. The Light Novel label is meaningless because it does not indicate demographic or content, but simply what the publishers want to promote the branding of a series as.

Mirai Nikki end

Yes! They kept the
floating babies!
A bit disappointed they cut out the last few pages since it gave a bit more closure, but that will probably be included in an OVA or something. It's not necessary or anything since there's a clear implication of what happens here. Just makes it less abrupt.

I really liked the little montage with all of the diary holders. Very heartwarming which the music contributed to and we got to see
what both 3rd and 12th actually look like.
The anime definitely made that scene a lot better.

Overall, this is probably among the best manga->anime adaptations I have seen. The sense of tension was amplified, certain scenes had more clarity, there was great implementation of Mosaic and Paradox; it was all very impressive. I will say the censorship was a bit annoying at times, but it wasn't a big deal. Even the scene that I was worried about the most (
Akise's decapitation while holding up the phone
) was censored in a pretty creative way that arguably made it more effective (though I still think it looks cooler in the manga).

Seriously, was definitely a roller coaster, even experiencing it a 2nd time. I think I can confidently say this is the definitive version and would recommend anyone with an interest in high-tension thrillers like Death Note to check it out.

Also, what's this about?

I think they are out.
I think the 4 volumes (maybe 5?) currently out cover up to episode 11. Hell, I might even rewatch it to see if they fixed up any of that amazing off model animation! (i doubt this considering the sales numbers i've seen lol)
It's not that bad.
Yeah but it doesn't add to the experience like it did for Blood-C either.

Also it seems that "next project" is linked to the anime and not the drama as some have previously speculated!

Toriko 49 + 50
fantasista_of_the_kitchen___tacchino_kawagoe_by_tristtrist-d4wxlkx.gif

Surprised one of my irl non anime friends watches this, as he ended up telling me the episodes were up on funimation/hulu. Kind of funny that he said he started saying itakimasu when he eats, same. Regardless 49 was fun just for the wide variety of stuff in the Gourmet World and how it just completely outclassed Toriko. He's gonna need a huge training arc or something. Tempted to peak in the manga to see if he is there yet. 50 was decent, guess the start of a new arc.

Tacchino Kawagoe will be missed, though I hope he does return for Gourmet news, he kept things fresh and funny, taccino fantasy!.

Fate/zero 15 - Good episode, it was pretty damn interesting that it essentially felt like the second half of episode 14 pacing-wise, it would have been cool if they aired S2 as a 50-minute premiere episode combining 14-15 like ep1 was to begin with!

Black Lagoon 4

Either lengthy scenes take place on water to hold up a certain nautical feel/theme or there are some serious budget cuts.

QH3bo.jpg

Quick boards like these are nice enough, but most of the time on water is spent looking at very plain clouds, sea and backdrop (which the show attempts to work with by including varying colors in the backdrop/sky, but it's dull to look at for extended periods.

Vvdsu.jpg

Eyepatch moe.

So the show completely flips me over and focuses the first half on a
historical military sub that gets wrecked. The second part includes the gang preparing to salvage a painting from the sunken sub, but they get German company.

Hmm, interesting, and with that we have our first multiparter.

Germans vs. Lagoon.
Who will win?

something something Dragonball Z

Legend of the Legendary Heroes 1 - 5

Already saw episode 1-4 before when Funimation was streaming it awhile back when it was airing, stopped it after the first few because I was like I must see it dubbed only. Anyway it was nice hearing it dubbed and hearing most of the usual funimation actors. Fiole got my favorite (voice of gau in nabari, naoi in angel beats), and of course the voice of natsu had to be in this...

5 was the most compelling and pretty intriguing with developments
Fiole out not have died, wasnt expecting him to have such a short screentime.

Stop now. If you really want something Tenchi, there are better versions. Even if you want a spinoff, there are better shows.

GXP is truly bad.
