Yeah, I really need to up my game. Getting gold medals on these medium tracks is becoming a real struggle for me.
I feel this way as well. It's time consuming. I know I can do it but damn I sit there for an hour until I do get a medium track done on gold. I also have OCD and have a desire tool gold everything before I continue :/

Do other people feel the same way as me? I haven't played something this difficult since Dark Souls.

Almost everyone feels that way at first. There was a track I beat in Trials HD with 490 faults. It took nearly half an hour. Well over half an hour if you include all the time I spent trying to get over the very first obstacle!

Lots and lots of practice, and I can do it without crashing at all now. You won't get better quickly, but you will get better, and you'll feel incredible when you do. It's worth just struggling through as far as you can get, even if the tracks are taking 400 faults, just keep going. Then, go back to the tracks at the start and see how much better you've got without even noticing.

Oh god I'm so glad I don't have this problem. I'm fine with silvers for now and once it gets real hard I'll be happy with bronze I'm sure.

I don't just have that problem but I'll finish with gold then immediately try to beat all my friend's leaderboard times if I feel I can cut off enough seconds, even if I know I'm not on the fastest bike for the track. It's a serious issue... lol :(

I loved the Trials HD demo but never bought the game for some reason. Evolution looks even better than that, I'll definitely be buying it once I get some money next month.

The only negative experience I've had with it was the day after release when the servers were screwed up for awhile and you couldn't find games.

Matchmaking is still broken for me, and I always reset to level 1, and I'm not even on the leaderboards. Hope this gets fixed soon.

When you actually get into a mp game, on the other hand, it's great.

I just 0-faulted every track up to the end of hard, and that puts me 659th on the global leaderboard out of 250,000. I'll never be that high again and so am enjoying it while it lasts - someone do a screenshot of the GAF leaderboard now, quickly, while I'm near the top!

I just hit 497

feels good man

I liked Gigatrack....

I'm yet to no-fault it gold like I have every other track, but it seemed like a fairly apt way for me to say goodbye to relative ease, and hello to fucking insane difficulty :[

I tried the first hard track and it really hurt....I'm so awful at this.

There should be an option to delete this song permanently off my Xbox

shit is embarrassingly bad.

on a different note, does anyone else have trouble finding supercross multiplayer games? Seems to rarely be successful, and the one time i got a game started it was only with 1 other player.

When players made custom tracks for Trials HD, some of them were extremely hard. Harder than extreme tracks. So the community deemed them 'Ninja' tracks.

Here's an example of some Ninja tracks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2CQbmzc1QI

A lot of these sections would not be possible in Evolution. Lots of helmet touches which would now be crashes and I'm not sure if those upside down rollovers on the back wheel would still work.

For people saying Trials is too hard, the first 2 times I played Inferno 2 on Trials HD I faulted 500 times or ran out of time. Eventually I was able to beat it in 2 minutes with 5 faults. Just keep playing lots of different tracks and your skills will slowly improve.

Jesus. I just finished the last track before the A license. It was like 18 minutes long! Thats insane! Awesome! I want a game thats just one track that goes for like 4 hours.

That ninja promo vid for HD....

After raging at medium tracks in Evo, I just feel disgust at that....especially because I can imagine much harder tracks being made in this.

Eurghhhhhhhhh my thumbs....

Question, do I need to use the last bike for the extreme levels? I hate the thing.
Pheonix is much easier. However the rule is that if they let you use a bike, the level is beatable with it. Notice how many levels don't let you use the donkey bike or some of the really slow bikes.

It's so fucking light and my wheel is always in the air whjdsgafas

thumbs? You're using the triggers for gas right? :)

I meant for balance/bunny hopping etc. :p

Even the A License tutorial for that began to wear me out ....I'm beginning to dread this hard stuff tbh, and I've been a perfectionist so far, grabbing gold for everything....

I hope Red Lynx integrate community content into multiplayer (or even single player) somehow though...really good stuff beginning to be created.

You'll need to lose the OCD for gold, quick. Trying to get gold before moving on in hard and extreme will be a disaster. You'll get overly frustrated and burnt out. Practice a track for a while and move on then come back to it later. Different tracks build your skills differently and they ultimately all benefit each other, if that makes sense.

Divorced from the game for a whole week! D: Please don't delete me off the Neogaf Trials account plzzzzz. I will come back and lay the smack down.

You can definitely do the upside down rollovers still. On the fastest accel bike at least; I did some accidentally yesterday night lol

Insane. It's so bittersweet to think that people were making these amazingly inventive tracks yet only able to share them with their immediate friends list in Trials HD.

So glad they were able to lift that silly restriction for this game.

just got to what Id consider the first really challenging track "down in the dumps". I think Trials HD had a much steeper difficulty ramp up

I'm the exact same way. It's a sickness, really.

Yeah, so I uploaded the first version of a track I've been working on for uncountable hours over the past week, so if anyone is willing to give me feedback, or just play it and tell me if you liked it or not, I'd appreciate it.

It's a medium difficulty Supercross track called Metallurgy v1 and my gamertag is arvinater.

Ugh. For some reason I told myself I wouldn't go to bed till I improved my 44 faults on Out of the Pit. Bad decision. Ended up taking over an hour, though I did finally end up with a silver medal. The most frustrating thing was that it wasn't just one obstacle I was stuck on. Every time through it was something different giving me trouble; I just couldn't put together a clean run.

I've now got gold on everything but the Extremes, with the exception of Gigatrack. That one's not hard, but it's tough to stay focused for so long.

just got Unyielding II. it was pretty fun to do. a good primer on throttle and brake control.

Got that one today as well. Anything where you're forced to throttle the whole time is super fun. I tried to get the achievement where you can't lean left or right, but that one was too difficult for me.

Exploding Man (I think that's what it's called) is awesome - nice nod to 'Splosion Man there. Managed to get to the very end and earn my only platinum so far.

Once again, my GT is Drakken688 if anyone wants another name for their leaderboards.

The big problem with Exploding Man is that the scoring is broken. It isn't a straight race to the finish, you have to basically glitch it. I hope there are plenty of new stages made using the same concepts.

I like this game, but it is just too difficult for me. The medium tracks are giving me a hard time. I suck.

like with the first game, I had a lot of fun with it early on but after the medium stuff I don't find it very fun at all, just masochistic.

luckily there's a lot more to this one than the first, however. still a great game but I've hit the point where I don't see myself making much more progress and I don't find any of the hard tracks to be any fun at all.

Well I spent almost a whole Saturday in the editor. It will all be worth it, just you all wait and see. Meanwhile, Whitehawk beats my Rollercoaster time. *shakes fist*

Note: I am now removing all friends on NeoGAF Trials account who don't have the game. Sorry guys, but people are waiting to get in who actually have it.

I also improved my time. When I messaged you I was rank 25. Now I'm rank 12 :)

btw check out my replay. I did the first ramp a bit differently than everyone else.
