I mean, c'mon, I've eaten jellyfish so many times at Chinese restaurants, that shit is delicious. I can see why it might be unusual for the American palate, but is that really any less disgusting than eating unfertilized chicken periods?

Yummy!

i hate all seafood, except once I had a swordfish wrap I could stomach, so I'm going to assume jellyfish tastes just as disgusting as every seafood I've ever eaten.

I can't even take the SMELL of seafood, it makes me sick to my stomach

All the cover stories sound hilarious. GG, Newsweek.

Jellyfish could very well be tasty. I'd love to try it one day.

You sad child

jellyfish sounds good.... as long as it's cooked. I don't think I am ready for raw jellyfish. a lot of other raw fish? sure, raw JELLYfish? not so much.

I'm oddly the exact same way. It's a shame, I feel like I'm missing out on an entire food group, so to speak.

Do you like jellyfish sticks OP? Do you like to put them in your mouth?

Jellyfish rocks, actually I never even knew it was Jellyfish I was eating at Chinese restaurants all this time... always thought it was some delicious seaweed that is not green. :p

I enjoyed eating the jellyfish dishes at the Chinese restaurants in Yokohama the best.

A little sesame oil goes a long way.

I do.

"Marcus Licinius Crassus: Do you eat oysters?
Antoninus: When I have them, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: Do you eat jellyfish?
Antoninus: No, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: Do you consider the eating of oysters to be moral and the eating of jellyfish to be immoral?
Antoninus: No, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: Of course not. It is all a matter of taste, isn't it?
Antoninus: Yes, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: And taste is not the same as appetite, and therefore not a question of morals.
Antoninus: It could be argued so, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: My robe, Antoninus. My taste includes both jellyfish and oysters."

Damn right it's controversial. The headline pretty much insinuate jellyfish are not "normal" food and deserve special treatment. Furthermore, by stereotypes, it tags the label to the Asian community to shows that Asian are different from true patriotic white America.

I tried jellyfish last year and I almost spit it out. I'm big into consistency and it has a hoooorrrriiiiiiibblllleeeee consistency. Very... "goop" like.

Why the halo?
