I don't get the MSF update. I downloaded the update but there are still only 16 levels.

I haven't finished the last two levels yet though, are the new levels hidden until I beat those or what? >.>

I know that. It doesn't say anything about updating, though... the top screen says "Five New Levels," but it gives me no option to update anywhere...

US, BTW.

You have to delete the game from the SD card, then re-download it, apparently.
Wow really? Even the Wii would handle that itself when it was downloading whole games again while you had the previous version. The only time that you actually had to go in and manage the memory yourself was if there wasn't enough space to download the game again because it didn't get rid of the previous version until after the download was complete.

Leave it to Nintendo.

That's what I ended up having to do. :/ There wasn't an update button on the game's page, and when I checked my account history, there wasn't an "Update Available" indicator, either.
I had no such issue in the UK. The update was prompted as soon as I went into the eShop. A Nintendo Video update too, for some reason.

I got the prompt about the MSF update as soon as I loaded up the eShop. Also got one for Nintendo Video too.

In addition to not getting any sort of prompt for the update, the re-downloaded version still doesn't have the DLC, so there's my save file down the drain.

I was about to delete mine now. I don't think I'm going to do that anymore.

Edit: I never got that prompt :(

Check if you see a retry button when pausing. If it's there, you have the additional levels as well. They apparently don't show up on the level select screen until you've cleared the first 16 stages.

Did you guys check if there's an "update available" icon by the game in your downloads history?

edit: guess not. man, that's weird. at least it seems like not everyone's having this problem.

That was the first thing I did when I redownloaded the game. No retry option showed up, and since I deleted my save, there's no way for me to check for the new levels.

I think NoA just fucked this one up.

NoA dun goofed I guess. Just wait a bit, can't be hard to fix.

Is it just me, or is the no. of data transmissions under the StreetPass system settings completely non-functionality?

Well I can confirm that my update for MSF is fully functional and delivering the goods, so I guess it's a screw up on NoA's end (unless other PAL region people are having this issue)

More importantly my favourite e-shop game just got better, good stuff by Way Forward.

Yeah, sounds like the update simply isn't up yet.

You'd think that after 5 years of operation (on 3 systems) that Nintendo would realize that releasing 1-2 new things a week is not the best way to keep people engaged with your digital download service. I naively hoped things would be better with the 3DS, considering it is a modern system and Nintendo has had plenty of time to wrap their head around online consoles/handhelds.

It took Virtual Console several years to get as anemic as the 3DS's Virtual console has been since basically Day 1. The rest of the eShop isn't much better.

It works, though I don't think it's cumulative. I think it's just current, active street passes that you haven't looked at yet. Useless.
The eShop is even advertising it as having 5 new levels. Are the people in this thread who got the update all in Europe?
Likely yes. It's bugged right now, give NoA some time to fix.

You should have copied your save to your PC first before deleting it. Or are you not allowed to do that?
