I think it's time to step away from the whole "BIGGER IS BADASSER!" philosophy. Maybe go small with "Super Mario Innerspace" (then again, that's probably basically Bowser's Inside Story).
Then since we're at small scale, we can have the inevitable sequel, "Olimar x Mario Fusion Saga"

I thought they'd learned their lesson with the 3DS branding. This isn't a good sign for alleviating product confusion, really. :/
That said, it could very easily be a mockup by the devs.
Well, it could be that they told them to just use Wii case design for their mockup, but the final design might be different. Maybe they just used Wii because Nintendo never gave them specifics on Wii U cases. Whatever their reason for using Wii cases, I hope it's not final.
It's just the developer's mock-up. There's no reason why Nintendo would have shown developers the box designs yet.

Maybe Valve will give even a bigger push for the System than EPIC could...but I still believe that both are on board with the Wii U...

I'm so confused.. I have no idea what to believe regarding the embargo.
I thought maybe it was lifted with the DC fighting game unveiling, but nothing from Konami last night and nothing from EA, which, if you look at the PR, absolutely confirms an embargo- I mean they have all their sports games listed, with many listed for Wii, with no Wii U mention.

I think 3DS box design is also way too close to the DS one.

I have no doubt this is the final Wii U case design. Just like the 3DS cases are hardly distinguishable from the DS. Nintendo doesn't learn. They need to change the overall design and case color to differentiate between the new system(s) and it's predecessor.
And we already know that FIFA is coming on Wii U, done by a specific team. So...

In the UK the 3DS boxes are thinner and the 3DS logo is on the right instead of the left.
If that Wii U box art is legit then I don't mind TBH, as a gamer, but that box art in general is bad. For the casuals however, Nintendo should try to differentiate Wii U from Wii.

It's not official because the logo is pale blue instead of the darker blue from the new logo.
Probably because they'll show their Wii U games on their press conference.
The logo itself is fake. Whoever made this just took the Wii logo, put a blue rectangle next to it and cut a "U" inside the rectangle.

Same in the US. There were some funny pics of stores having their 3DS games upside down on shelves so the 3DS logos was on the same side as the DS ones.
I agree, the 3DS showed they need to do a much better job differentiating the Wii U from the Wii. The name and design thus far doesn't indicate they know that.
