I want bumper jumper with proper grenade button (left stick). AA on X. Done.

And I mean, I can understand having AA's on left trigger, makes it so you don't have to claw when using an AA you have to hold.

But, most except Jetpack you wont have to hold while shooting.

I don't see a problem with that. More people used to CoD will find it easier to play Halo now.

I know a few people wanting zoom on the right trigger.

How about they produce some real vidocs already. Explain yo shit, 343. Those post-event vidocs are fun and all but they don't exactly give us a great amount of new information or clarifications.
I was gonna say the same thing, but I feel like I complained enough about their lack of proper vidocs yesterday...

Console's have always been about ease of use per Frankie. Console gamers would get into the controller setup screen instantly be confused by the plethora of options, not understand how to back out, become enraged and uncontrollably Trounce™ their Xbox 360™.

This could lead to many lawsuits. 343™ cannot have this as they have limited resources™ In 2012™. Console Logic™ proves that a few controller schemes is Good Enough™

Part of the reason for this, as it relates to Halo in particular, is a test/animation/glitch nightmare. Imagine literally infinite potential for BXR situations across every possible in-game action.

That's a worst-case scenario, but it's not an exaggeration of the potential problem space.

We got a 30 minute demo of Forge this weekend, that beats out a 5 minute vid of Frankie sitting at a desk talking about it (I do like Frankie sitting at a desk though)

Yeah, it's easily the best control scheme there, except for that one little change. It's almost as if it's being nerfed.

I can't imagine throwing a grenade without aiming it...Who thought that would be a good idea?

I think this is the one reasonable thing I'm gonna put my foot down on. I can't get this game unless Bumper Jumper is fixed by release. Just swap that X and LT... god dammit! Just do it! X for grenades? What were you thinking?!

So my main problem with the way ranks were handled in Reach was not being able to accurately assess how good my opponents/teammates are while in the lobby (without navigating through 5 sub-menus.) Reach had the playercard when you highlight someone's gamertag, and that had so much potential. However, Bungie decided to clog up that prime real-estate with Armory Completion, Commendation Progress, and Daily and Weekly Challenges. Who the fuck cares.

When I see someone in the lobby, I don't give a shit how much armor he has. Why not fill that space with more pertinent information, like Competitive K/D or W/L or previous season arena rank. Take it one step further and display those stats specific to the playlist you're in. For example, if you're in the MLG playlist, the playercard would show MLG K/D and W/L.

So no matter what direction Halo 4 goes in with respect to ranks, just please keep this in mind. When scoping out the players in the lobby, the most easily accessible and pertinent information should be the indications of player skill. If I want to find out how many challenges a dude has completed, I'll be fine going through a few sub-menus first.

I understand that you would want to see the skill level of the people that you are playing, but I feel (even though I would prefer it your way) that if we know what our own personal rank is in said playlist, it would be redundant to want to look at the skill level of other players seeing how the matchmaking system would be pairing you up with players of your skill level. (that is if mm true skill parameters aren't as wide as former President Taft's bathtub. *cough* reach.)

I never considered that possibility. Maybe it was intentional? Doesn't make me feel any less incredulous, but at least there's a type of logic to it.

I really wanna try the Fishstick layout. If I'm sticking with precision weapons it seems like it could be alright. Definitely won't be my go to, but might be fun to try out. I suspect they'll add Zoom [Hold] or [Toggle] as options now.

Half of which was filled with a few dudes try to get through an obstacle course. With a video of say 10 minutes you quickly go through new information which you can clarify on straight away. Same with multiplayer, really.

This is good to know, but seriously, just swap that X and LT. Here's my hopeful wishing but let Jetpack work with the jump button as well so that I don't have to have another game where Jetpack is useless to me!
