I won't confirm or deny any assumptions thus far, but will say that there are things to the hints that no one has gotten yet...that to me are obvious (obviously). I'm looking forward to finally telling you all just what I'm referring to...eventually.

I thought the "Lo" part was 07 right side up and was hinting at James Bond, but new I was missing something because I could clearly see that more was trying to be spelt out. I cant wait for the Snake confirmation! Does the Mosin Nagant prove its Big Boss? I was hoping it would be Old Snake, and the others would be costumes. The main skin indicates what the story before. They confirmed each character has its own story. Maybe this is one of the reasons Kojima is at Comic Con?!?!?! I dont think he would be showing the fox engine off there, maybe hes there for both.

hmmm good catch, dont know if its America though, has to be something. The west coast is all fed up no matter which was you look at it.
The bullet arrangement around the handgun in pic #3 is also very peculiar. Theres more going on here than just the Mosin Nagant. Something is being spelt around the handgun too if you flip it upside down. I cant make it out. On top of the handgun theres clearly an upside down "P"

is the rifle in the 3rd pic a Mosin Nagant? if so that is the preferred sniper of....
Nice to see other people notice that the rifle is the Mosin Nagant (or looks like it). I'm calling it right now. First character is Cole McGrath and second character is "Big Boss" Snake.
Also that first car is a Dodge Charger, second is a Lamborghini Gallardo and the third is a Honda Accord (maybe)? Charger just confirms Cole for me.

If that is a Dodge Charger, than it certainly seems like the first picture is definitly Cole between the Charger and the electric lights. That plus it's Comic Con and we already figured Cole would be the perfect fit for Comic con.
Don't know if i would give up on 2nd and 3rd pics though.

more confirmation its Crash? what do you think is being spelt around the handgun is pic number 3. I can only make out the upside down "P". I think if there is only 2 characters being announced then the evidence points towards Crash and Snake being revealed. No Cole for now.

2nd pic is definitely looking more like Ratchet and Clank after the yellow and silver and Lamborghini = Lombax connection. The third pic is a pic of a pistol and a Mosin Nagant. I can't think of any other game series that has that gun in it other than MGS. Paul is definitely keeping me on my toes with this.

And it would be wierd for pics 3 and 4 to be related but 1 and 2 not.

One last hair-brained theory before I head to sleep.
Notice when I mirrored this image, a "3" seems to appear. Now this could be nothing but bear with me.
Upon further inspection I notice that the number looks very similar to a game that I have just recently played. Its the third in a franchise that has only been on Sony systems and recently got it's rebirth, which was met with mediocre reviews, but that's besides the point.
You're main weapon is a pistol with unlimited clips, so there's the pistol out of the way. And the sniper rifle (right?) which she also uses over the course of the game, one of like 2 or 3 that are actually required to finish the game.
Maybe we have our 2nd female?

hmm i guess thats fine. If we can accept that then we are basically done here. Only mysteries left is if the shape of the outline of bullets in number 4 has any meaning, and what the bullet arrangement around the handgun is in number 3 including the d/p right above it.

Yeah I have two theories that I explained on the last page about those first two pictures that either:
1. It's representing Cole McGrath with the yellow and silver cars (costume) and the Charger with the electricity
or
2. 1st picture is Cole while the 2nd picture is Ratchet and Clank.
I really wish Paul would be a little more clear as to whether these pics are connected or separate.

Yeah, it seems like its between either just Cole and Snake, or Cole and Snake plus Ratchet and Sackboy.
Would be have been more obvious if it was infront of an Outback.

This game will sell better than what SSBB did. I believe that a game like this can reach 12-15 million worldwide compared to SSBB 8 million
First party can only go so long, which is why having third party characters is good for a game like this

A lot of this game in terms od sales is going to come down on word of mouth.
Much like the first Smash Bros on N64.
This first game isn't going to destroy any records, but as the games go on and if the gameplay can addict enough like SSBB. This could later on be a power player.
THough I don't think it'll ever meet SSBB levels mainly do to character familiarity.
Not saying Playstation lacks characters, but they do icons unlike nintendo.

Yeah. I know people are hyped for this game, but you have to be realistic. Not even Gran Turismo 5 could reach 10 million sales. PSASBR has very little buzz going on in Japan and we are very late in the generation, I was even generous with my > 1 million expectation.
It seems that the character load will be blown shortly before release, it won't be a long and suffering road that was the Brawl Dojo. Maybe this results in more impulse sales, who knows.

No ps3 game has ever sold over 10 million.
the closest, GT5 which is at 7million, and thats because GT is huge in europe (and was a game years in the making)

With right characters it can definately go over 2 million. And as some have pointed out no way this has budget as big as some other PS3 1st party games.
For the hints: I think Ratchet for #2 and Snake for #4 are definate. #3 sackboy? #1 no idea.

I'm pretty sure Sony is going position this as their 2012 holiday blockbuster, which probably means enough advertising to easily get over a million. If they don't get over a million with those expectations, I think Sony would probably be disappointed.
