Yeah we need some. The ratio isn't looking too swell right now.
There is not a chance in hell that this will sell 12 - 15 million. I'd expect 2 million, tops.

2 mill is pretty lowball. I'd expect 3- 4. Seems about standard for a successful Sony game. Should draw in a lot of fans from other games IMO

I don't understand why people expect this to sell more than the third game in a similar franchise. The first SSB game sold around 5 mil, so it would make sense to set targets closer to that... though I don't think PSASBR will sell that much, 3 mil maybe when all is said and done.

One last hair-brained theory before I head to sleep.
Notice when I mirrored this image, a "3" seems to appear. Now this could be nothing but bear with me.
If I am reading it correctly, it says TIGR 3. TIGR is a variation of SVD. 3 could stand for MGS3 where SVD was first introduced in MGS series (and later in MGS4 and Peace Walker). Also, it was the most effective weapon against "The End" and his Mosin Nagant (also shown in that picture).
If I had to sum it up, I would say that both pictures 3 and 4 are Snake; the only difference is that they can be referring to his default and alternate skins: Naked Snake and Old Snake. Either that or one refers to MGS stage and other refers to Snake himself.

1M < x < 2M = conservative, but realistic based on current roster and other expected SCE owned properties.

As much as I like the teasing in general and speculation, I'm kind of disappointed with what the reveals could be.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have R&C, Cole, Snake and Sackboy (if that's who they are). But those characters aren't really the kind of reveals I'm looking for. Their inclusion is pretty much a given

Yeah, I definitely 100% agree third party support was huge for the PSone. Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, and MGS were major contributors.
With that being said: those third party characters are most likely going to be in the game- so it looks like that base is covered. We're both saying the same thing. ( :',
Obviously we have a Snake hint here. I read into the other ones as Jak & Daxter, but I can see the Crash and Cole arguments.

The way I figure it, Superbot are going to reveal the third party characters in a certain order, starting with someone who'd cause the smallest stir and then working their way up, leaving the biggest deal until last. So we've had Big Daddy, then Heihachi, and we know we're gonna get Solid Snake at some point. I wouldn't be surprised if, for mass internet carnage, they reveal Crash last. He is the most requested after all.

Now that we've seen these hints I wonder if they'll wind up correlating to the characters we see on Sunday. If Cole shows up and Paul says his hints didn't involve him... then I think we can start getting excited for Crash.

I said it a few pages back, but ill say it again:
Paul said he himself took the pictures.
Both pics are taken outside the same place, in the same angle, but at two different times.
So I don't think thoes cars are important, as they're probably not paul's cars. and he wouldn't have gone into the effort of waiting for the specific car combinations to park, just in time to take the pics. So i think they're just random cars.
The hint is likely the outdoor grill. or something,

if the cars weren't important and the main focus was the 'outdoor grill', he could've just taken the picture at a different angle.
The fact we have two different photos does beg the question though. The correlation between Ratchet & Clank is certainly there...
But the day/night factor could also reflect Cole... or even Jak & Daxter, right?

I'd love for Crash to get revealed. For the people not virtually guaranteed to be there, he's one of the few I'd want most.

Third pic is a mystery. My best guess is it's also Metal Gear. My secondary guess is that it could be Captain Price from COD4, as there's clearly a P at the top plus the rifle could be an 'All Ghillied Up' reference. If you really try you can see an R next to it as well.

Problem I have with that, is that it would require a lot of effort.
He would've had to wait there. until the specific combination of cars had parked.
Unless he owned the cars himself, both seem like too much work for a teaser.

Well, maybe the cars belong to some friends, I mean we know this guy has some contacts. He could ask them for a night out, get them to park the cars there and take the pic in the process. This is why they're at different times - different groups of friends. It's also possible to just be a place that he frequents a lot...maybe it's right outside where he works, or along his jogging route or something? I just think the cars are the least thing to be ignored.

Maybe the reason the pictures have a time disparity is that he had to wait for those two cars. Perhaps they're friends'?
I know I'm reading into it, but there's no denying the familiarity to Ratchet & Clank, though it could be a coincidence. I just think the cars are clearly the stars of each photo- the composition is clearly centered around them.

Still seems like a lot of work in comparison to the other two hints.
I'm pretty sure it's the Outdoor Grill itself thats the hint. Taking a picture from across the road was the best place to take the picture, and incidently,
theres cars parked outside there.
While I relate to the occam's razor approach, why are there two similar photos with the only different being the cars themselves & time of day? If it were merely to be a photo of the Outdoor Grill, then we'd only need one, right?

Why are they revealing the characters at the end of comic con? That gives them no way to build hype during the show and market the game with the new character reveals throughout the show. Horrible marketing once again by Sony.

Well; i think time of day is the important thing too. more specifically; one picture with the lights on, and one with the lights off.
It just happened, that the cars that were parked there changed, because they were taken at different times.

We know that 2 characters are meant to be revealed. but we have 4 photos.
2 gun photos, 2 outdoor photos. I think this probably means that 2 photos = 1 character.
so we shouldn't look at each picture by itself, but also compare each picture with it's matching one. Snake has already been found out.
which means one other character.
both outdoor grill pics are hinting to one character i'd assume.

I guess the difference in opinion you and I have is that I find the timing to be circumstantial, you find the cars themselves to be coincidental. We'll see how it pans out, but I certainly love all the conspiracy theories coming from these photos.
Did Paul confirm these photos were for two characters? He mentioned he knew more than two remaining and that these hints weren't necessarily for characters appearing this weekend.

Seeing Crash after such a long long time in this game will be the single greatest fan service to me ever. It's the only character I really really think defined the playstation for so many years. The rivalry between M64 and the first game. I remember the gamepro reveal and the insanity around that. Plus the first game is what put ND on the map.
