What are your most anticipated games for the 2nd half of 2012?

Lol you guys. I don't remember anyone saying anything positive about Resident Evil 6 in any of its threads. How is that game right under Halo 4 at the fourth position?

This reminds me of all the complaining about Mass Effect 2, only for it to end up as GAF's GOTY for that year.

Anyway

New Super Mario Bros U
Zombi U
Borderlands 2
Luigi's Mansion 2

So bought:

Resident Evil 6
PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale
Dyad
Sound Shapes

Most likely:

Assassin's creed 3
Far Cry 3
Little Big Planet Karting
Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault

Borderlands 2 is my most anticipated right now, it's looking like an amazing sequel to a game that I sunk around 100 hours into. All indications so far seem to be that Gearbox is going to knock this one out of the park and I can't fucking wait.

Darksiders 2 would be next, mostly because it comes out real soon. I have no real idea what to expect from the game as I'm a bit fuzzy as to whether they're keeping a similar structure to the original that wears its influences on its sleeve or if it's going to be even more action oriented with added loot. I'm very interested to see where Vigil take the series and hope it turns out awesome.

Assassin's Creed 3 is looking like exactly the kind of game you would hope a numbered entry would turn out to be. I have enjoyed every AC since ACII (and didn't entirely dislike the original) and to my surprise haven't found myself burnt out on the series yet so bring on the next one!

Persona 4 Golden. P3P is one of my all time favourite handheld titles. While I've watched playthroughs of P4, I've only played a relatively small amount of the game myself and can't wait to have it on the Vita. As a rule I want to go digital with the system, but I'll likely import P4G when it hits the states, because screw waiting for the inevitably slow-ass local distribution.

Resident Evil 6. I remain hopeful that this will be a really enjoyable game both in single player and in co-op. typically I really enjoy Capcoms major output, so I have faith that this will be a good game even if it won't necessarily be to everyone's taste.

Halo 4's E3 showing had me sold.

I have a nagging feeling that I'm missing one or two others but I'm drawing a blank.

The Last Story (NA Wii) - After taking part in Operation Rainfall last year, I feel like I should actually buy the games it was pushing for now.
Petit Computer (DSiWare) - If it's anything like WarioWare D.I.Y. I expect it to be great. Hopefully I can use it to improve my programming skills, too.

Planetside 2 is most likely a 2013 release date. Which is why its going to be low. PSOII was confirmed for a 2013 release date in NA.

Halo 4 is pretty much it. Borderlands 2 is a maybe (didn't really enjoy the first one). Rest of the time will be chipping away at various older games from the past 2 years of STEAM sales (Fallout NV, the Last Remnant, STALKER, Legend of Grimlock, etc etc)

Is no-one on Gaf anticipating Fable: The Journey? It's the 10th most anticipated 360 game according to the Nielsen poll and is also a Kinect title. Given Fable's past sales and the support for Kinect on Gaf I would've thought a lot of people would be looking forward to this game.

I dont know if Kinect games are popular on Gaf, but alot of those games on the Nielsen list were casual games.

is beloved, despite what anyone might say
Pretty slow year for me, just Growlanser IV and Jet Set Radio HD. Next year is all about Ni No Kuni and Xillia though.

Looks like I fit right in as my top games are in the top 5.

AC3
Halo 4
Borderlands 2

And I'll be picking up either a Vita, 3DS XL, or a Wii U ... just depends where my tastes and what games are out that I really want to play at the time.

Kind of surprised by the ACIII hype.

A game series like that won't derive much from the original, it's just a new skin on the same kind of game. Did GAF really love the first two that much?

Anywho

Borderlands 2: 3 of my friends and I have been waiting for this one for awhile, we played through the orig and all it's DLC 3 times to rotate through the characters. Beyond hyped.

Dishonored: Something old and something new....

X-Com and Legends of Pegasus. Strategy games are having a revival this year, loving Endless space already and still need to get Gods & Kings too.

.

The second and Brotherhood were a massive improvement over the first and this one has a new setting, protagonist and engine, as well as completely overhauled and new gameplay systems. Yeah, we're pretty excited alright.

How were they different? You're still just running around, discovering locations, doing the same 3 or 4 styles of quests and stabbing people.

The core is exactly the same. 2 they improved the story (which is worthy of being excited about in 3, but not this much) and added side objectives with the assassin training. That overall had no affect on the actual game in brotherhood, just something to break the monotony

Persona 4 Arena
Persona 4 Golden
Dishonored
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Torchlight 2
Starbound

I probably won't be able to afford even half of these (especially since if I wanted to get P4G, I'd have to also buy a Vita) but these are the ones I'm interested in.

Strangely pumped for Persona 4 Arena, even though I haven't liked a fighting game since Smash Bros Melee. Borderlands 2 would pretty much be the only other thing, but I'll wait for the steam sale on it next year.

I will toss in another vote for Dishonored.

I don't think I have much interest in much until the end of the year.

Pre-ordered for 2012
RE6
TTT2
R&C HD

I'll also buy Soundshapes and the Dark Souls DLC.

Other than that, I don't know? Maybe MVCO on PSN in September.

2013 on the other hand? Already looking to be off the charts:
MGR:R
GoW:A
Gears: Judgement

And I'm sure there's more.
