I enjoyed reading those Mount and Blade stories. I especially liked the story of Betty and her lust for Wander. BTW HTown, how did you get that chain shirt. Seems a bit expensive for someone who keeps losing recruits.

How do you turn off powerups in Beat Hazard?
After you have chosen your song, go to manage perks and click the mouse when hovering over an active perk, should look like this then:
Hm? My Highscore? That wasnt hard at all. Just collect everything, shoot at everything and avoid everything. Timely placed smartbombs in between (right mouse click). You need to ensure not to get hit, then your multiplier stays up.
Or did you mean perks? Just continue playing, you unlock these as you go. Played 7 hours so far.

Let me tell you about this ARMA 2 game. It's trash. This is the game that fully utilizes the keyboard. ARMA 2 is QWOP: The Army Simulator for PC. There is a good chance there is a button dedicated to inhaling and another for exhaling. You probably have to press those buttons while running so you don't run out of breath while wiggling two joysticks back and forth to pump your arms. I haven't even described the potential insanity of using the numpad to twist your neck and moving the mouse to direct your eyes (pray you don't role a character with a lazy eye).
There is also this mod thing called Day Z that nerds are talking about. Frankly, it's just more Walking Dead fanfic trash that those kids eat up. You walk around and are pretty much invincible because the plot demands it... or so I've heard. I'm too cultured and spend most of my nights having laid to really have a clue..

Haven't played this in a year, and there's been multiple patches, and I bought dlc.
And I picked random.
Oh boy.
So off the bat, here's my catastrophe of a skill set:
Archery: Alright
Thrown weapons: Redundant with archery
Psionics: Actually pretty good since I have no other magic; It debilitates enemies
Assassination: But not the bow and shuriken kind; I don't think this works at all for me
Smithing: To make iron throwing daggers very inefficiently with
Killer Vegan: keeps me healthy/free food (never had before)
Demonologist: Anti-demon magic, seems great later, but I'm probably going to die before that.
And I have no starting armor (but do have some cheese.)

However, veganism also makes all animals passive, and I can control one to make murder it's kin for XP! Honestly, if it weren't for this, I would've ran out of bolts/daggers and died before getting to the stairs
And after nearly dying to numerous poison arrow traps, I reached the stairs! However, next to the stairs, was a mysterious portal. And mysterious means loot, right?
Wrong! I entered and died instantly.

Quickly, I learned your stats plummet if you attack animals as a vegan. Doh.

I think I played it a bit before the contest, like 40-50 minutes and when I ranked up, the ability to unlock was there. So not too much playtime

So all in all, a fairly good brawler. I cleared floor 1 with no difficulty, but just when I was about to leave floor 2 for floor 3, I came across my very first monster zoo ever. I ran back up the nearby stairs to floor 1 and had to find another way down to avoid the monsters. Finally, I made it to floor 3 - only to be killed immediately.
Still, along the way I managed to complete two quests for Inconsequensia and kill more zombies than I thought existed.

So all in all, a fairly good brawler. I cleared floor 1 with no difficulty, but just when I was about to leave floor 2 for floor 3, I came across my very first monster zoo ever. Still, along the way I managed to complete two quests for Inconsequensia and kill more zombies than I thought existed.

So I started with a random skill set and well... It did not work out. The lack of ranged attacks was pretty annoying. I almost had full health when I attacked that Eely and I was in my werediggle form

Next I used a chosen skillset, but I never played with the demonologist skills before
I was doing very good, only problems I had was a named monster on the first floor when I was still level 1. I could spawn zombies from the corpses of my enemies, so I had a small legion of friendly zombies following. I was pretty good in melee, so I was never really at risk. I made the same mistake as LargePad, I went into the mysterious portal (is this new? I hadn't encountered it before).
The first creature was a golem that half my health in one hit, yikes. I kept running around and attacked him with some wands and my mace. After beating him, I opened the door and was greeted with a gnome. He died in one hit. Next I saw a Thrusty. At least I though it was a Thrusty, but it was something else, a Creep-Creep. He hit me like six times in one turn, wtf. Byebye Dark Terror

Warlock - Master of the Arcane
This game represents my steam sales day 1 "breaking the seal" purchase. I had not really heard of it before the sales, but the combination of Civ 5 + magic + wizards and so on caught my attention and the price seemed to be about right.
Luckily, it wasn't a wasted purchase like so many other games this sale. Whilst it doesn't win any friends for originality, it does score big on what matters, getting me to invest time in the game. It is accessible, the mechanics are easy to understand and make sense and you quickly fall into 'one more turn' mode as you want to charge up a spell to see the results.
I don't expect it to last as long as a civ 4 or 5, it just does not have the depth. But this is more than ok, because these games are measured not in the hours you play (because they are always so huge) but in getting you to actually play it. For this, Warlock comes highly recommended.
Since I can't draw, I'll use the power of words.
