How does sweeping wings workd ? I'm currently a playing an extreme monk and I noticed that even without any Runes, the stacks sometimes go up to 3 when it shouldn't ?

Bug? or reward triggered by the time the wind have be sustained ?

Sweeping Wind

Techniques

Cost: 75 Spirit
Surround yourself in a vortex that continuously deals 15% weapon damage to all enemies within 10 yards. The vortex lasts 6 seconds and is refreshed each time you strike an enemy with a melee attack. Landing a Critical Hit has a chance to increase the vortex effect up to 2 times for a total of 45% weapon damage to nearby enemies.

It's all good. It's still there waiting. I'll be on tonight again at around the same time.

Sweeping wind expands with critical hits.

Finally ... though we already knew what was to be addressed, at least their updates on the patch are coming soon. I'm guessing we have 2-3 weeks before patch.

Quick question: Is NV only in Inferno, or does it start when you hit level 60? Just wondering as my monk hit level 60 in Act3 of Hell, but that's where I stopped playing last night.

Yes, but base is 2 time. i'm speaking of three times.

Got 7 million gold, can I somehow make this guy clear Inferno easy/ier? Pretty much stuck at the end of Act 3 at the moment. I've gone through everything and it seems like I have to spend that much gold alone to upgrade one item substantially.

EU auction house.
your crit chance is too low. So is your crit damage. Crit chance for inferno should be at least 35-40 without sharpshooter needing to be used. You can easily get a crossbow with about 60-70+% crit damage. The rest should come from gloves/quiver/helm/amulet for the larger crit chance bonuses, and rings for the smaller ones.

Not sure if I've ever put up my tag here, but add it to the list as I do still play. For the most part just farming Act 2 with my DH. Tag is Cerebus#1696 on Americas.

Thank you for taking the time for a detailed post, it looks like my priority is to raise crit chance first. I'm rocking about 30% right now w/o the axe weapon, soon!

Keep in mind that only your main hand needs to be an axe/mace for the Weapons Master passive to work. Your off hand can be anything.

If you use Overpower, then the extra 10% crit is good. If you use Bash, then a mighty weapon main hand is fine too. The +3 fury on hit helps to keep your fury up.

nevermind, I'm blind. I though the rune that goes up to 60% dmg was another stack, but it's just more dmg per stack

Correct ...

I personally like firestorm the best. The extended radius is nice. It's good for goblins too. They can't fun far away enough away from the firestorm rune and are constatly tripped up because of it.

Blech, I'm fully expecting them to stop MF gear swapping making my very expensive magic find set utterly worthless. :(
Buy an even MORE expensive all around MF set that doesn't need to be swapped. It's cost me a ton of gold, but I rock 160 base MF along with the damage and resists/armor.

The Diablo III developers have been hard at work on some exciting new features and updates for the game. Many of you have asked for more details, and we're busily preparing several developer blogs filled with information on what's coming in patch 1.0.4. In the meantime, here's an overview of the information we're planning to share here on the Diablo III community site in the not-too-distant future.

Please keep in mind that this list isn't set in stone, but it should provide a useful preview of what we'll be revealing in the days ahead.

System Changes, by Wyatt Cheng
Senior Technical Game Designer Wyatt Cheng is preparing a high-level summary of some of the system changes planned for 1.0.4.

Legendary Item Improvements, by Andrew Chambers
Senior Game Designer Andrew Chambers is working on a blog detailing all the ways we’re making Legendary items stand out.

Magic Find Update, by Jay Wilson
Following up on earlier discussions, Game Director Jay Wilson will be providing an update on how Magic Find is evolving in patch 1.0.4.

Class Changes, by Wyatt Cheng
Wyatt will also be providing a preview of the changes we’ll be making for each class in 1.0.4 (and the philosophy behind those changes).

Patch Notes, by Lylirra
Of course, this is all building up to the actual patch 1.0.4 release, and we’ll be releasing the full patch notes shortly before the update goes live.

We're also planning to run some interviews and developer chats surrounding patch 1.0.4, and we’ll be sharing those on the Diablo III front page. Be on the lookout, as we'd love to get you involved in any live chats we host.

As always, your constructive feedback is very much appreciated. Stay tuned for the updates to follow!

Sell now? It's been known this was coming. With the money you make, buy Act II gear with high MF on it. I have 220 MF after NV on my act II gear. It didn't even cost me that much.

I've also noticed that I get a ton of legendaries (granted all crappy) in comparison to other people because with 220 MF even gray mobs drop them about 1 every three days or so for me.

Swapping MF means you only get the MF at the end of an elite fight. Very very very few of my lengendaries (granted all shitty) have come from elites. Most hve come from trash mobs.

I am curious to see what effect making it so swapping MF gear doesn't work will have on the market... i have a feeling it will just make the MF market like the glove market... bad to good will be cheap but the great ones will be stupid expensive to the point where it almost won't be worth it to upgrade from a good one.

I've always hated switching sets though so I have a MF set that I can at least farm act 1 in (with starting 254 MF to 329 with the stack lol thus if I wanted to sacrifice some MF for damage/resist for act 2 I could)

I personally don't want them to change MF gear swapping. It adds to the difficultly imo

300k elite kills lmfao
Where did you find them? This gave me an idea to use google to search, and I've found a group of dedicated d3 players who have all figured out the end game?! They all have the same end-game gear for high kills. ;)

I am a bit torn now. Everyone is saying that legendary items are weak, but this character has more legendaries equipped than non-legendaries. What is the TRUTH, GAF? YOU TELL ME!

*knows legendary items are weak on an averaged basis, but still, hypberoles are horrible :p*
Maybe class dependent, my Wizard has 0 equipped while my DH has 5.

There are plenty of great legendaries that are good as they are now and don't need any tweaking.

However, there are also a ton of them that are just absolute garbage. I'd say the most glaring problem for me is that there are so many just utterly crappy legendary weapons out there where even a halfway decent blue or yellow of the same level requirement blows it away.

As well, that DH is very impressive, but I find at a certain point it a bit pointless. His damage is unquestionable and super impressive, but at the same time it looks like he's got almost nothing whatsoever for resistances and same goes for his magic find. He'd be fantastic to have along for clearing bosses, but I wouldn't want him in my party while farming! =)

Andariels visage gives attack speed on a helm.

Some legendaries are good because they can give you stuff like attack speed and crit on armor pieces which normally don't have their affixes (like ias on boots or crit on a belt) plus some legendaries have a higher main stat budget than even the best rare (like you can cross 200 on a shoulder with seven sins).

That build would still get 1 shotted and I didn't even see much + dex. Basically just stacked 4 stats for that number. That's not as impressive to me as getting high dps with high mitigation.

Um, that's what everyone else means, too, when they say legendary items are weak.

Teh biggest issue with legendary items is the weapons. There's isn't a useful one out there because their damage is capped and this game is all about DPS. Teh only ones that sell that I've seen have a ton of MF for the farmers who switch gear and that's leaving soon anyway. Soon those will be worthless as well.

There are a few useful legendary pieces of armor out there, but even then it's very very rare. OUt of the 20+ legendaries I've seen drop only 3 of them sold for a million with the high dollar item being 2 million. Two of those million plus pieces were set items. I've seen 5 set items drop and three of them were crap too. That one barb set is absolutley uselss from top to bottom.

There's plenty wrong with legendary items.

.

And after the IAS nerf, became so much less popular. I had one drop and I thought I hit the jackpot. Nope. Not even close.
