This game looks sick y'all. Competitive medieval combat. It used to be a Source mod. I'm always for great melee combat. Here's some one on one combat and the launch trailer

So for the people who's been following it, will it have no-respawn modes?

If that's a yes, I will buy this right now and sod War of the Roses.

EDIT: Last Team Standing. I'm sold.
 
I'm not sure, I know you can't revive your partners since there is gibs. I'm looking through videos to find out.

Is this that Pirates vs Knights vs Vikings mod? I remember it was all about melee fighting with a few ranged weapons. It was pretty fun.
 
Feels really good, the sensation of seeing someone go down after a sword swing is amazing and the entire combat system feels really good - Some things probably are a bit iffy ( Chalk it down to Beta for now ) but on the whole it seems really good. Better than the Mount and Blade feel in my opinion.
 
Animation wise it still leaves a bit to be desired, movement looks a bit odd and the animation execution does look very stiff at times. Overall though it seems fun, lot of practice to get the blocks and attacks right.
 
Semi interested now that I've played War of the Roses and I have seen it's not good and interesting enough for me.
 
AoC > War of the Roses in my opinion. AoC has a lot more coordination involved. I like both though.

It's been fun to see AoC grow into what it is today.
 
I used to play this on Source. It was fucking awesome to throw a wooden spear though someone at 20 yards :D
 
The 4 pack should be going up today. Will it include beta access? Debating between getting this one or War of the Roses.

Hell yes I am! There's a rarity of First Person Slashers like Dark Messiah (Dishonored looks sweet) or Jedi Knights.
 
Never heard of this until today. I was interested in War of the Roses but this looks really good too. Does this have any of the customization that War of the Roses features? Is there mounted and ranged combat?
 
Late to the party, but does this have a single player aspect? If this is just another online melee, I will probably skip it. War of the Roses is kind of disappointing, and I'm franky getting tired of buying games that have great concepts and half-assed execution.

There is customization. There is ranged combat, but no mounted combat, though it could be added in the future.

Only multiplayer. They are a small studio, and you have to understand that single player cost a lot of money to do well.
 
I can't decide if I want to pre-order this. Anyone played the beta that can give me some info? The videos I've watched make it look pretty good, although I'm not a huge fan of the animations sometimes lol. It looks better than War of The Roses in my opinion.

My only complaint is the animations, but the rest of what I have seen has completely sold me. It definitely looks better than War of the Roses in terms of combat.

Wait for the release. There's no incentive to pre-order that I'm aware of.

I'm hoping maybe they will try to fix them a bit? I'm not going to count on it, but yeah, the combat looks really fun.

For some reason I thought it was $5-$10 cheaper to pre-order. If that is not true, then I'll just wait and see.

Yea I'm not sure; the first person stuff isn't that bad. It reminds me of Kings Field IV actually, though faster. But seeing all the characters move about is a bit strange, but I bet you get used to it. For a small team though, the game looks downright amazing.
