Haha, totally. I just watched it, too, and really loved it. I was surprised to find myself getting interested and invested in the characters already. That's partially due to my Halo nerdom, I'm sure, but credit is also due to the quality of the work.

I'm not a fan of glorifying imperialism and militaristic honor, but that seems to come with the territory of Halo fiction. And then there was the stereotyped strict Asian dad, which was pretty shitty. Other than that, my only complaint was seeing ARs everywhere, but not a single BR. Scrubs.

That is why I put it in quotes. It was a tragic loss of life.

I don't have a problem with people making fun of the death of people who have done an obviously moral wrong such as Hitler, Stalin, or Ted Bundy.

Would be so awesome sitting down with a bunch of HaloGAF before launch and watching it all in one go.

I kind of wonder if 343/Microsoft has thought of doing a limited theatrical release of Forward Unto Dawn before the Bluray is out.

I would see it.

It is not about being politically correct it is about honoring the memory.


As far as being hypocritical like I just said it is all about context. I'm fine with jokes about immoral people but not about people who died innocently. The best way to think about whether or not a joke about a death is ok would go like this:
1)Was this person innocent? Did they die tragically? Was he or she a good person?
2)If this person was good or innocent think about how you would feel if you were a direct family member. Would you want people making jokes?

Also, I get what Barlow is sayin'. It'd be sort of insensitive to the memory of a very important man in history.

That does not, however, stop me from doing trick shots in JFK Reloaded.

Same here, would love to see it in a theater setting. Doubt it would happen though as that would probably cost them too much to reach a large audience unlike a web series.

We've got a game launching in a month, a book that just came out 3 days ago, several MP map reveals in the last 48 hours, and a 20 minute tv show that released today, and we are talking about the JFK assassination? This is HaloGAF.

I have to say, the production quality is much higher than I expected.

How many of those warthogs do you guys have? I can't imagine more than 3?

The wait for Nov. 6th is going to be tough, but the next few weeks have a nice rhythm:

Tuesday: IGN map flythrough
Wednesday: Halo Bulletin
Thursday: IGN map flythrough
Friday: Forward Unto Dawn episode

Sprinkle in a few news dumps and events like NYCC and we'll have a ton of stuff to keep us busy talking.

Watching this tourney makes me wonder why these classic Forge remakes aren't in standard matchmaking.. Narrows and The Pit are far better than most of the maps in Super Slayer/Objective..

Yes, it is the Warthog by WETA. I wish they build a Halo 4 Warthog that would be ace!
