October Nintendo Direct Prediction and Speculation

Retro Studios... mouth frothing, can't conceal excitement. Nah, but seriously, if this system seller Rich is talking about is something more than fiddlesticks, the next Nintendo Direct broadcast sure will have me seated. I'll be seated regardless, but I think another megaton or two wouldn't hurt sales. So, Thursday, eh?
 
Rich IGN is completely backtracking. If you compare the tweets you can tell he spilled beans he wasn't supposed to spill.

Beans are out of the bag! Wonder what it is though.

I don't think he is backtracking. I think he is trying to contain any hype he may have caused since the actual 'must-have' is probably a game known but just happens to be better than expected.

maybe the must have is not a new game... whatever it takes for the silence to end I need news to pass the time until the 18th
 
So, a Nintendo Direct is coming this Thursday?! :O If so, it should be announced officially in a few hours. :D

Oh, I want news about both 3DS and Wii U.
 
Reggie did say I believe there are still more games to be announced for the launch window. Perhaps it's this. I hope it's this.

Need For Speed Most Wanted is the only known missing game so far. That is the only one I really need to be happy for now. Please don't give us a gimped version EA

Leads me to believe it's a fucking awesome game that won't get the sales it deserves. i.e Wii ___, NSMB and Mario Kart are out of the equation.

But he said WiiU finally has its must have game, system seller, so it has to be a game, if its a game we already know about, the wording is very bad, why would he say finally? Just say new preview of a upcoming WiiU game is coming and its awesome something like that.
 
I bet he just worded it like a dumb-dumb and it's just "wow i got to play final versions of nintendoland or rayman or blahblahblah and it's awesome, this should be a system seller"

Yea unless its something like that, there is no reason to hype up a known game

Unless its Nintendo Land has online all of a sudden

ZombiU we have seen so much of that, unless it also has full online multiplayer

These games are not gonna all of a sudden become much more different then what we know about, no reason to hype a known game

nevertheless that tweet will mislead people into serious hype he can't contain it now.

I hope its a new game but I feel maybe he went to far on something simple and known
 
I just hope if we get a Nintendo Direct this week that it is fully focused on the Wii U. Save the 3ds talk for another time and just run through everything we need to know about the Wii U. Try to answer as many questions as possible. These are my dreams.

We already sort of know all of them. IIRC, the octopus one is like one of those simon memory games, and the Yoshi is some sort of race collecting thing. They are both single player.


I'd more lean on a few other options:

1. Pikmin 3 including 4-player co-op
2. Game and Wario has a lot more mini-games + launch date
3. Wii Sports U?



.....who the hell knows.
