Sigh... I can already tell I'm going to be down another controller. Me no likely when dude with popped shield doesn't die from my grenade 3 feet away. :(
If you're just churning through controllers could you throw one my way? I'm sure your arm can manage the distance if you get some Hulk rage goin'.

Infinity Slayer is a cluster fuck. Slayer Pro is boring. There's nothing for me here currently. Can't I just have some old fashioned Team Slayer? :(

I never understood the bitching about Camo as an AA in Reach. I never played a game where it was an issue.

But now? Fuck. Infinity Slayer, 2v4. ENTIRE OTHER TEAM had camo. So it was camo sniper, camo sword, camo rockets, etc. And on Complex.


I hate Mondays.

I'm pretty sure a shield should pop within 8 registered body-shots from a DMR.

First time in my life I've been eager for CoD to come out and kill a Halo population dead.

I don't enjoy playing without motion tracker either. But I don't mind SOME Armor Abilities. There's a possible sweet spot in there that none of the current playlists are hitting.

JIP should be an option, like, I want to start with a fair and even game so get me a new game instead of joining in progress. I want that choice of being able to cast my vote for a map.
 
I'm pretty sure you can jump over a plasma grenade as it's exploding and it won't even take your shields down. It's like they halved the kill radius. Just cause people complain about something in the previous game doesn't mean nerf it to hell and back! The decreased radius + the fact that there are no body grenade pick-ups (without the package thing) makes them have so much less impact on gameplay, literally and figuratively. 343, grenades make Halo nearly as much as the guns. And now big team is a more prominent gametype, so grenades should be even more useful.

This beta is really fun though.

Edit: Frankie, remember when you said "grenades are still grenades"?

Was hoping for a playlist consolidation. Oh well, 20+ lists here we come!

The problem was never the amount of playlists in reach, it was the amount of redundant and branched playlists.

One week ill be able to play something I like, one week I won't.

I think the answer is a hybrid system

Big team
Double team
FFA = oddball, regicide, slayer, king of the hill (pls bring back headhunter and juggernaut kthx)
Slayer special = snipers, swat, slayer pro
Skirmish = king, dominion, flag, oddball, grifball (pls bring back 1flag and assault kthx)
Infinity = straight slayer
Creative = infection or whatever

Then have a spotlight playlist which focuses on a single gametype to highlight

And remov map voting damnit

weak nades, strong pray n spray AR, loads of power weapons due to ordnance, just to name a few. fuck this...

its becomes less about strategy, accuracy, reflexes now its bullshit. in reach i could take on 2, 3 less skilled players with a grenade, dmr and magnum.

now i've almost go no chance in hell as the grenade does almost nothing if it isn't directly underneath the player, they rush in with ARs blazing and my magnum is weaker too. bull shit. ill take down maybe one of them but most certainly will die now.

Instant respawn is the worst thing to be put into Halo since the jetpack.

Instant respawn isn't some important feature that resources were directed to like Ordnance, so it wouldn't be a big deal to cut it. But they won't.

I'm sure it wasn't even thoroughly tested, just mandated on the ADD logic.

Hint: play testing is a very very bad thing for games, now that results from them directly fuck game mechanics

Got the game today and played a few hours of both multi and single. Enjoying it so far. Will see how long it lasts though. All I know is this game shits, SHITS, on Reach. Fuck I hate Reach.

Also the amount of times both me and opponents have died by DMR/BR shots between us at the same time is also stupidly high relative to other games

My honest opinion, you need to calm down. You play worse the angrier you get, that has been my case so far. I have had some infuriating matches on Reach, but also some damn good ones too. Step back and refresh.

im really trying to like the multiplayr, but I'm feeling the same feeling I felt with Reach after a month (not a good feeling), and its only been a few days :( :(

Melee is fine if you ask me, there have been a couple of times where it felt like it didn't respond well but it's worlds better than the super-lunge in Reach.

I'm not sure what it is with the lag compensation but the amount of times that it just ends up killing both people is much higher than any previous game.

Not surprised this issue hasn't been fixed since 2004 since Microsoft can't be bothered to set up dedicated servers since it might take money away from their marketing

Saw people who unlocked the Suppressor last night, at short range it is a beast beating out the DMR with ease. Also picked up Light Rifle off an enemy and the thing feels right, liked it more then the DMR.

Antitype slurped all the bad Reach stuff pretty hard, surprised he isn't (wasn't) on board with everything Halo 4.

Either you leave it open for players to discover an exploit and boost before 343 can respond, undermining your own efforts for progression, or you do what they're doing now. The idea that progression is tied directly to someone's satisfaction in Halo 4 blows my mind. If you're capping, be proud, not frustrated.
