Is it dying on the launcher? Click play and crash? I used to have that issue with Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I had to manually delete an .ini file in myDocuments in the Fallout 3 and New Vegas folders before I launched the game, every single time I wanted to play.
Holy shit dude.

It worked.

Thank you so fucking much. <3333333333

Glad that worked for you. It was a pain in the ass to have to do that back when I first played through both Fallout 3 GotY and New Vegas but at least I could play them. Weirdly enough I recently re-installed and played through Fallout 3 and am currently playing New Vegas, not an issue.

So much meanness in this thread.

A couple years ago, I'd go up in arms if someone mentioned my beloved Zooey Deschanel's nose...

Do you have her nose? Or are YOU Zoeey? 'Cause if you are... could you please tell me if this rag smells like chloroform?

First time FTL is on sale, 40% off or $5.99 directly on the site through the Humble Store, which gives you a Steam key.

There's a possibility it will be cheaper during the winter sale, but if you can't wait, this is a good price for a VERY good game.

Also, Hell Yeah is like $2.60 @ GMG with the code which I don't know right now, but it should be easy to find.
Seems like some people enjoy this game but even for that price I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I think the lovely animated visuals and music are worth a few bucks, sure, it got repetitive/annoying for me after the halftime mark (still completed it) but how many will even get that far?

Oh, the code is GMG30-DEC01-ARFC9 btw.

Kind of new to Steam, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but please bear with me -

I must have been at over 80% of my Max Payne 3 download when my PC crashed. When I restarted, Steam itself was apparently updated, but now my MP3 download is back to 0%. It still shows the total to be downloaded as the full 30GB or so, not whatever was missing when I had to restart Steam. The ETC seems to indicate that it intends to redownload the entire thing.

I've restarted downloads before but I've never seen the progress bar resetting. Is it related to the update?

There's an MP3 folder under steamapps/downloading that is around 30GB, but I'm guessing Steam allocates the space the game will take from the beginning.

Am I screwed here?

Just delete the MP3 folder in steamapps, and restart the download.

Pause the download, right-click on the game in your library and under properties, choose "Verify Integrity of game cache". Steam should be able to find the data that you already downloaded and proceed to download the rest.

If that doesn't work, I guess you have to download all of it again, but I don't see why it would do that, crash or not.

Thanks. You mean where the installed games end up? There's no MP3 folder there, all of the MP3 files are under a "downloading" folder. Which is weird, because when I try downloading other games from my library, they go straight to the final folder, even before the download is finished. Is this normal?

Also, when I use the "integrity check" option or whatever it's called, it's done in under 1 second, so it can't possibly be checking 25GB worth of data.

It has happened to me before, but Steam is clever and even though it may have downloaded 5 GBs of data already and reset the counter because of a crash or whatever, it understands what it has downloaded already and only proceeds to download what is needed i.e. if your counter is reset, don't worry, restart it and it may finish before it reaches 100%.

Otherwise, just delete the MP3 folder, wherever it is, and re-download.

Games on the new content delivery system download to a temp folder before being moved to the common folder.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Soulless eyes that stare past infinity into the darkest recesses of my mind, eyes that have seen horror and pain intersect and dance a sheepish trot across her very essence.

She'd probably put out. 9/10 - Would bang.

Am I talking about Ladystache or Zooey Deschanel
