So I went to install dark souls on my desktop yesterday. I open steam, go to dark souls but there is no option to play or install. I go to the store page and it says I own it and to press play to play it, but nothing happens. Has this happened to anyone before?

Try Verify the game. It happened to me once because steam just loaded half the game.

I own the disc ver. of Last Remanent. If I use the Steam registration code, can I gain access to the digital ver.?

I got gifted Orcs must Die 2 complete from a friend. Added it to my library. Then suddenly it disappeared and magically got back to my friends inventory?

I'm never pre-ordering a SE game ever again.

Unless you fully plan to play the game first day, nothing is worth pre-ordering. There are always a few exceptions (Skyrim, COD and Acitivision titles), but most games go on sale for 30-50% off somewhere in their first 2 months.

Damn, Spec Ops is a really good game. I think I'm at chapter 7, seems rather short. The shooting feels nice, and I like the setting. I still don't know why everyone praised the story and morality, maybe I haven't reached that part yet.

It helps to finish the game to appreciate what they did with the story.

I think the story was over hyped by a few people here on gaf, I liked it and thought it was really well done but I was expecting more based on what I read. But even without that the game is worth playing for the presentation, really nice looking environments and great use of color, I went in expecting another brown fest and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of variety.

You don't know because you haven't finished it :/

Does this have anything to do with the SEK? Did you have to write support or was it like that from the beginning? Everybody lumps us together with €-land :(

I just go to the site and everything is listed in Dollars. Sure they could be charging in Euros but when checking my bank account that doesn't seem to be the case. I haven't done anything special.

Yeah, I imagined that. Still, I thought morality would be important during the whole game. Doesn't matter, I'll finish it soon, I had a great time playing it so far.

And this is one example of the full game being infinitely better than the demo. Even the level where you find a sniper rifle for the first time, which I didn't like on the demo, felt more fun now.

Valve is into indie games. After Greenlight, which is an interesting selection process, Valve offers to "greenlight" all the finalists of the main competition of IGF 2013. That is a good piece of news since these games are usually really good indie games.

Hmm, I really need to write GMG support about this.

Fantastic news.

Hell of a deal for finalists, sounds like a better reward than whatever the recognition itself from the igf is.

Well, I think one of the rewards of the IGF used to be that Valve might have a look at your game, because of the prestige. Now Valve will make an offer.

I believe it is good news for three games I support on Greenlight and which might never make it with this system. With IGF, who knows? I have "tested" some public builds of quite a few games submitted to IGF 2013 and I have to say I find the main competition a bit dull: fewer original games than last year's.
